September 25, 20222 yr Week 3 is here and the Eagles Trip down Super Bowl LII memory lane begins as we face Carson not once but twice. (The Birds later face Doug, Zach Ertz, Frank Reich and Nick down the line). I will always have love for Carson for his time here. Nothing will change his contribution in 2017 for the team to finally win the Super Bowl. With that said, he sometimes let his Ego and insecurities about Nick's Playoff Success and Jalen being Drafted get in the way. Sure Doug and Howie made mistakes and Carson isn't fully to blame for it falling a part. But he played his role and once Jalen was drafted, he basically wanted out. Having a terrible season didn't help. He put up some nice numbers for us overall but the one stat that stood out was 0-1 in the Playoffs. 5 Seasons, no playoffs wins. Meanwhile the Eagles played in 6 Playoff Games during his time here including the Super Bowl. So we sent him to the Colts only for him to be boomerang back to the Division with Washington. This isn't the first former Eagle to play for Washington. Donovan did it and do did Djax along with a few others. Despite all the drama and a season spiraling out of control. Jalen handled himself very well during it all and was given the keys the very next year. As Jalen continues to develop, I can only hope he someday passes what Carson was able to do for us (Winning the Playoffs) but before we talk playoffs, we have to win the regular season. Jalen and the 2-0 Birds will now face the Man he ended up replacing. Carson has played pretty good and put some nice numbers overall this season. He took down Doug and the Jags but lost to those Hard Knock Lions the next week. Washington Defense has given up big yards and points to both Trevor and Goff. First Division Battle and anything can happen. But the Birds have won 8 of the last 10 against Washington including sweeping them last year. After that Monday Night Vikings Beat down (It isn't an potential Eagles Super Bowl Run without a Vikings beat down - 80, 04, 17, 22?). The Eagles should continue to roll today in Washington. BIRDS - 37 WASHINGTON - 13 Jalen - Rush TD Miles - Rush TD AJ - TD Goedart - TD Jake - FG x 3 Defense - INT and Fumble recovery
September 25, 20222 yr Anyone else nervous about today? We've done allot of patting ourselves on the back this week and going eh it's Washington. It's a division game with a QB who wants revenge and a team that always plays us tough. Off a short week.

This team has a lot of work to do before I can be truly confident that they can handle a team who they should beat.

I have no idea what to think about him. Tremendous athlete who could probably follow Logan Thomas's footsteps and be a force at TE in the NFL. This is why Richardson is a 1st round pick.

Problem is this QB class is looking to be loaded with proven talent and another reason why Hurts has to really step up his passing game to prove he's the guy this year. NCAA has QBs who can bring what Hurts has to the table but with better arm talent. Will be interesting to see who continues to play at a high level and what Hurts can do. Would a team want a guy who has proven to be a good college QB or take the risk on Richardson? Eagles will be in a prime position to either lock up Hurts or make a move with the both of their 1st round picks. If they decided that Hurts isn't the guy, I'm guessing they would look to get decent return from him too. For anyone who thinks I just suggested trading Hurts, I didn't. I'm suggesting what could happen if they decide to draft one.

Watch MVP level Wentz of 2017 and then apply your how dare he make a play because injury logic. Now do it for Mahomes 2018 and Jackson 2019 and Cam 2015 and Wilson 2013-2014, and pretty much everyone. Its not flag football. I am OK with Hurts playing the way he is. I don't think he's good enough to be a high-level QB without it. However, I am aware of the injury possibility. You refer to Wentz of 2017. His entire career has been affected by a run when he was hit by two DBs.

Been a fan a long time so I had plenty of experience in this 🙂

Yup, it seems really strange that people want to turn Hurts into Kurt Cousins when there is a pretty big sample size that having Cousins as your qb isn't a recipe for success. His running ability narrows the gap between him and the top 5 qbs in the league. You live with the downside, which is offset by the fact that he has prepared his body to absorb hits much better than any other qb in the league.
September 25, 20222 yr Today I get the Ravens Patriots game. I live in southern Delaware and normally the order goes Ravens, Washington, Eagles. Washington and the Ravens are almost always on but for someone reason the Ravens game is on Fox even though it is 2 AFC teams which are normally on CBS. Any other way for me to watch the game?
