The counterpoint is that if you reduce the number of times that Hurts runs, you also reduce the threat of him running, which changes the way defenses scheme against us.

As many people have pointed out, Hurts isn't going to magically turn into Patrick Mahomes. He doesn't have the physical tools to be a top 5 qb. But Hurts can narrow the gap between himself and the top qbs by forcing defenses to account for his running ability, which makes it easier for the passing game.

Yes, he will continue to take hits, which is not ideal. But I don't think there is a scenario where Hurts plays a style of football that helps him avoid those hits that doesn't impact his level of performance.

thats fine if you are a crap team desperate to be competitive. thats not what gets a good roster to win a title.

NFL Network has it's moments...

Hurts and the offense seems to struggle against Washington in his young career. I would bet that he will see more pressure than he did on Monday night. We'll see.

Sean Payton is getting fat. He’ll look like Kevin James soon.

Wasn’t last week Reagor’s revenge game… laughable. Don’t let logic get in front of a good story.

I can understand Reagor wanting revenge.  Eagles gave up on him, rightfully so, and shipped him out.  He would want to show that they made a mistake.

he was upset that they drafted another QB so high. He wanted out because he was angry. Not like it was some friendly mutual agreement leaving on good terms.

With that said, its not as though we should be worried. Wentz playing hero ball is exactly what an opposing defense should want. He is going to make a ton of mistakes.

Guy couldn't stay healthy.  Every year they made the playoffs he was there, he ended up missing out because of injuries.  I don't blame them for attempting to get a high end back up in case Wentz got injured.

They just gave him a big extension.   I doubt they were saying let's draft a QB early so Carson gets upset and demands a trade.  They had every intention of keeping him.  Just wanted insurance in case he got hurt.

Wentz is the Schwarber of qbs.  Over the course of a season, he’s going to hit .200.

But against one team in one game, he could easier hit 2 hr.

Nah, he would’ve been the #5 WR here - he got a fresh start and probably a better situation in MIN. Wanting to do well, and ‘revenge’ are different. Revenge is over used nowadays - assuming everybody is psychotic like MJ/Kobe searching for motivation.

Your welfare check came in today?

Landon Dickerson in. William Jackson out.

Good vibes today.

Not sure why Fox is hyping up the Brady vs Rodgers matchup.

I understand they need to make money with views but it is not a big rivalry like Manning vs Brady was. Not even in the ball park.

Two of the all time greats in one of the rare times they actually face off against each other in their careers.  Could end up being the last if the Packers and Bucs don't meet in the playoffs.

I was so far off on my prediction last week, I’m kind of afraid to pick the Eagles this week.

So if we ish the bed, I’ll take full accountability.
