None of us knew if he could ever look this good. He's done it 3 games in a row now.

I was catching up on pods this morning and Kempski made the point that if a defender gets pushed past him it’s almost like he forgets they were ever even there. I think I saw that at least 5 times today.

He's a 116.5 rated passer in starts 20-22 in his 2nd year starting.  He's on a pace for 5190 passing yards with 23 passing TDs and 946 rushing yards with 17 rushing TDs.

Hurts’s best quality so far this year has been finding the balance of playing turnover-safe football, but still being aggressive and taking opportunistic shots to allow his receivers to make a play on the ball. Usually it’s skewed one way or the other (like you see a lot with the other guy who played QB today), but he’s been calculated and smart with his decisions. It’s a good brand that doesn’t kill you with stupid mistakes, but doesn’t drive you crazy with being too conservative. 

Had the PE.com post game on in the background.  At the end, Fran Duffy warned that the Jags have an active and disruptive defense.

Hurts isn’t going anywhere it’s settled.

Love a QB who plays according to the coaches' called game and can execute it efficiently. Big time throws and big time catches. The coaches have shut it down in the second half in the past 2 games and Hurts is a team player by all appearances. Hat's off to Gannon and I'm having crow for dinner for the second consecutive game. More surprised by the D than by Hurts's growth. Bonus today was seeing Ginger Jeebus Hero Baller play as arrogant and stupid as usual. Rolling his eyes with the "come on" demeanor when they wouldn't go for it on 4th down. What a dork.
