  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Jacksonville is a much improved team this year under Pederson.  Lawrence looks like a completely different QB (worthy of his pedigree) and their defense is stout.  They will be a tough matchup next week.

Imagine if we didn't take our foot off of the gas.

What is his standards? 3 teams in 3 years. Amazing he is tricking teams to be a starter at this point.

Heisman Batman owned the Redskins in their house.

The power rankings next week are gonna be all over the place.

It does look like Doug has found his mojo again; far away from the drama of Wentz and the FO, the Jags look a team on the up.  Gonna be a tough one next week

Is this a good time to remind the blog about the 42 TD Hurts bet?

Hes currently on pace for 40 even

If Hurts keeps this up the rest of the season I'll buy his jersey and post the picture of it for proof.

lol

Hurts is on pace for 5,190 passing yards and 946 rushing yards.

That was absolutely fantastic. I love sports!

I'm not  humper. I have eyes and understand NFL QB play. I was wait-and-see on him and what I have seen is MVP level so far.

Trolls just go on ignore as we head towards a 13-4 season with them silently crying every step of the way.

He's a 116.5 rated passer in starts 20-22 in his 2nd year starting.  He's on a pace for 5190 passing yards with 23 passing TDs and 946 rushing yards with 17 rushing TDs.

6k yards and 40 TDs pace and you pathetic losers have the sad feelings.

I take being called a fool by a simp who thinks that's bad as a compliment.

You are a humper that does not understand qb play

Mack Hollins 160 receiving yards today

Saw that and thought 🤔

Not sure if it's just an anomaly, or he's finally put it together and decided he just doesn't want to play special teams.

I didn't watch the game. What caused that?

Still not sold on Hurts, but he has certainly done a nice job this season.  He's leading the team and doing a good job of putting the team in positions to succeed.  Promising start.

Macks cousin lives in my town. Some kinda weird drug thing going on there.

OK, now I'm starting to get excited about what the Eagles have in Hurts.  Two straight games...or should I say to straight 1st halves in which he's been dominant.

There were 3 things I was vocal about this week regarding even more progress I wanted to see.

1. Less running for Hurts- Hurts was 9 for 22 today and almost a non-factor in the running game yet he was still able to perform as a QB.  That is 100% what so many of us have wanted to see from him.  Think of it as the Donovan McNabb broken ankle game.  McNabb used that game to show that he can throw the ball when he can't run.  Hurts today, even though he had a few smart scrambles won the game primarily with his arm.  This was a throwing day for Hurts and he looked GOOD.

2. TD passes- Yes, the TE screen to Goedert might as well have been a rush but it's a TD pass.  The other two were fantastic.  Slant to Brown and the beauty to Smith.  Winning the game with TD passes.   Love to see it.

3. Using the weapons they invested in- FINALLY, DeVonta Smith as a threat downfield rather than a button hook possession WR.  This was something I harped on a lot this week.  THAT is the Heisman trophy winner.  What a player.  I wasn't thrilled about him being the consolation prize after Chase and Waddle but Smith has everything you need to be special.  Brown and Goedert with big plays.  This is exactly what I wanted to see.  Hurts getting his weapons the ball downfield and in to the endzone.

Happy to eat crow if Hurts keeps this up.  His legs are a bonus but if Hurts can truly be a throwing QB who relies on his legs when needed then this team has something.

A few other things:

-Calcaterra looked fantastic on his 40 yarder.  At first I thought it was Goedert.  He could develop in to a weapon.

-The Covey experiment might as well be over.  I hope they don't decide to waste roster spot 53 on him.  Was excited about him based on his college career, nope.

-BG/Cox were fantastic today.  Was it the WFT line or are they going to play at a high level?

-Love Pascal on this team.  Has a role, knows it, owns it and excels at it.  Whether it's WR3/4 or ST ace, he's just a pro.  Hope he isn't 1 and done here.

-Looked like Mailata got burnt a few plays...something concerning early this year.

-2nd half performance is a bit concerning.  They have yet to finish a game and that's 2 straight where the offense just went stagnant in the 2nd.  Gotta figure that out.

-Dickerson, meet plastic wrap during the week and play on Sundays please.

I don’t think Jacksonville is very talented, but Doug will have them get off the mat better than our last 3 opponents.

Worst comes to worst at this point we can afford a loss

The Eagles are on pace to go 17-0

But, so are the Giants

Not sure.  But I'm guessing losing didn't help.
