Yeah, and be 2-3 years away. Johnson, Kelce, Cox, BG, and more will be gone.

It's a shame there's no method in the NFL to add young talent.

With Kobe Smith, I have them now at 64, meaning it's eleven more to go. Here are the names of guys on the roster bubble:

Jacoby Stevens

Josiah Scott

Kary Vincent

Josh Jobe

Britain Covey

K'Von Wallace

Reed Blankenship

Grant Calcaterra

Patrick Johnson

Kennedy Brooks

Davion Taylor

Christian Elliss

Kyron Johnson

Josh Sills

Matt Leo

Jack Anderson

Noah Togiai

Dean Cain

Marlon Tuipulotu

That's nineteen names, meaning eight of the guys listed would make it. I would keep Scott, Covey, Blankenship, Calcaterra, P Johnson, Taylor, K Johnson, and Anderson.

My keeps in bold from that list.

Devon Allen. I'm basing that only on the tweet that was posted a couple of hours ago.

Seems to be the conclusion.

And depending on the extension CJG gets, may force the Eagles to draft a QB as they will not have money for a QB extension.

Door #3 was taking advantage of the cap room and add talent so when the right QB shows up, we have the team ready to go.

I wasn't a fan going after either tbh. Smart play waiting it out and going after whoever their guy might me in the draft next April

I hope howie reads this and signs some free agent QB to a 300M dollar deal just to continue proving your cap projections wrong. Lamar Jackson is your next QB!

Honestly, even in limited time his rookie year I could see Hurts wasn't the guy. He should have been exploring options before this offseason. Also, just saying there were no other options let's Howie off the hook. It's his job to be creative and find options because Pitt seems to have found a decent QB this draft. I'm not saying I would have taken him, but moves can be made.

I love having the team ready to go, but letting a year with what could be a solid team go to waste is pretty disappointing.

Kelce and Cox will most likely be gone after this season anyways. They drafted their replacements

Got it, thanks.

Then, with all due respect, I beg the Differ with your syntax.

I would hope that they don't let a safety contract get in the way of securing a franchise QB.

"One legitimate way to look at this: Eagles GM Howie Roseman got C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a seventh-round pick for J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and a fifth"

No, this is not the correct way to look at it.

Roseman turned a second (JJAW) and a seventh for a sixth.   This sucks.

Roseman traded a fifth and a sixth for CJGJ and a seventh. Looks good so far.

Todd Bowles and the Buccs is the correct answer

Chargers and Chiefs (before the contract)

Yeah, but it's a shame they don't have a better QB on their way out the door.

Eagles officially call CGJ a safety.

Franchise tag for a safety is about 13M. For a CB it's 17.5M.

IMO just getting jjaw off the team is win

He's already on PUP, doesn't count

I begged the Differ and the Differ says I could count him.

I feel like the Chargers if anyone has taken advantage of having a cheap QB. They have over 100 million wrapped up in two edge rushers, two 20 million dollar receivers, just signed Derwin James to a huge deal. Signed JC Jackson to a huge deal all because Herbert’s still on his rookie deal.

I keep reading that is Dilfer.  Put some respect on that man's name.

On his rookie deal for 3 more years, and already has a 5000 yard season under his belt.
