Wainwright, Molina, and Pujols leave their last regular season together.

Also marlins have a 2-1 lead going to bottom of the 9th. Phillies magic number if the marlins hold on might be 1.

Mailata MRI tomorrow to see if anything is going on

Brown isn’t a defender. The TD didn’t cost us the game. Best WR we have had in awhile. He is doing HIS job. It’s crazy, way crazy, to get this upset about that play.

Just wannna say Philly has love for you always Doug Pederson.

You brought us the trophy it looked like we would never get, and ended the ‘0 Super Bowls hahahah’ taunting from all the cowboys fans. What an amazing season that was

Thank you Pederson!! Bless you always 🚀

As shame we didn't lose.  There would be more substantive things to complain about.

There should be more traction on the Goedert drop.  Because THAT IS HIS JOB.  Catch the ball.

Not even much of a decision… a DB from behind that he likely outweighs… this isn’t Christian Okoye head-on.

He's a football player.  That is his job, to play football.

. He stood there as the DB ran past him... within arms length.  521144143_ScreenShot2022-10-02at4_57_35PM.thumb.png.36c58c74eb2f0bb340d0603076a4ae85.png

DB is running straight towards Brown... who is jogging.

DB turns upfield to avoid Brown... Brown slows down...

Brown just need to put his arms out and push him, and he'd fall down... Brown does NOTHING, 20985859_ScreenShot2022-10-02at4_59_57PM.thumb.png.365abcdba84e8aca5b7d6a552f4a455b.png

Brown here chases him down... and a diving tackle at his legs brings him down too...

He wanted nothing to do with actually making a tackle.   Piss poor effort...

It was a total Leon from the old Budweiser commercials moment.  AJ definitely has a bit of that diva in him.  Leon ain't paid to tackle.

Intermittent untimely drops always have and always will be a thing with Goedert.  He does enough good to overcome that, but it’ll always be a thing.

I guarantee you.  He’s gonna say something about it.  I can almost see it.  It’ll be a "I’ll need to do better” or "I need to make that tackle/play”.  There’s no defending the lack of effort there.  And I bet he’ll man up for it.

I agree with you. It was a bad effort. With the result of the game there is no reason to get mad about it at this point.

He’s the best receiver we’ve had in a while and it was a dog ish play by him. Both statements are true. And it didn’t cost them the game but it cost them Mailata.

Seumalo looked like he he at least has a bad enough sprain to miss some time.  Didn't they say heading into the season that they would start working Cam Jurgens at guard a bit?  If Jurgens isn't ready then alright but still if Seumalo is going to be out for awhile then as good of a fill in that Opeta might end up being I'd still like to see Jurgens get in there at guard with how good he looked in preseason at center.

Yes 100%. We are mad a WR made a bad effort for a tackle vs A TE dropping a at the time important ball

The Brown effort, or lack thereof, on the interception return was infuriating. Cost them Mailata.

Technically, the bad throw started the dominoes that led to the injury.  No INT = no Mailata tackle attempt.

I'm not trying to start sh-t with you, but would you be saying the same thing had we lost? Be honest.

Sure, we won, so I get why it's easy to dismiss. But in a close game, I want players to at least try. That play could've easily cost us the game. Thankfully, it didn't.

Both are bad, but for different reasons.  One was poor execution.  One was pathetic effort.  For me, pathetic effort is the more egregious concern.  Drops will happen.  Even missed tackles will happen.  If Brown had made an actual attempt at making a tackle and failed at it, I'd not even mention it... because he's not a defender and its not something that he practices... but not giving any effort, that's inexcusable.   And as a result... we lost our LT for the rest of the game, and maybe more.  We'll see when he comes back.  Losing Mailata is no small thing.

There's nothing Philly fans love more than questioning players' effort.

Unless the Bucs show something on offense tonight then the Cowboys and Rams are probably looking as our biggest threat in the NFC currently.

I'm an Eagles and Penguins fan. You know that. I guess that makes me a Philly fan. Guess I should get into a fight at the next tailgate.

There was no effort to question.  But hey... let's just be glad that not everyone on offense feels that it's not their job to make a tackle, otherwise every turnover will turn into 6 the other way.

He went for the strip, without even reaching for him when he was within arm's reach.  Good on him for acknowledging it was bad... and for trying to spin it to save face.

A Raiders win helps us.
