That stat was just McNabb. Reid had some wins with Pederson, Vick, and Foles.

And Garcia and Feeley.  And you have to Remember the Koy.

Ped State fan?

Eh not really.  Have some friends and a cousin who went so I'll passively cheer for them if they're on, but that's about it. Don't really know F all about their program outside of the high end draft guys,

Really just respect him as a player.

If Dan had played in this era... Good God.

Was actually arguing today with a friend who's a Pats fan that Marino was a better QB than Brady.  I was mostly joking but it was fun watching him throw a tantrum.  Marino really had nothing, no run game and his best weapons were the Marks bros, who were crackheads.

I think it was only 1 or 2.

BTW... who'd have thunk way back in 1999... that the journeyman QB Andy brought with him to Philly would one day lead this franchise to its first Super Bowl?   Crazy world this NFL is...

Well, it depends on how one defines greatness.  I believe that Marino, Manning, and Mahomes have played the position with a more pure level of perfection than anyone else, definitely including Brady.

But you can't argue with results.  And that's where Brady just crushes the rest of them.

Sorry that bugs you Doc. Maybe he’ll take you out for a nice steak and ketchup dinner.

Rodgers takes it for me. I don’t remember a whole lot of Marino but Manning is certainly the smartest/pre-snap QB I’ve ever seen.

Payton would carve up today's NFL with the rules.

Going back to the concussion topic...all the arm chair experts trashing the Dolphins training staff, the eyes in the sky, and the external consultants are asking for a really narrow target, especially with the firings and lawsuits they are slinging around.

I look forward to seeing a few franchise QB's taking hard hits, being completely fine, and then getting yanked out of critical games because of defensive decision making from some of the concussion evaluators.

In Tua’s case he wasn’t fine and he couldn’t stand without his linemen holding him up. I don’t think anyone is calling for guys to get yanked anytime it looks like they took a shot to the head. Just the obvious cases like Tua last week when he was a standing 8 count to anyone with a working pair of eyes.

I agree but for guys like Marino his surroundings and team around him doesn't even compare to those other guys.

Manning, Mahomes and Rodgers all had really good to great weapons around them.

There were a couple posters who didn't like the AJ Brown trade. I'm curious if your opinion has changed at all. Not an eating crow thing at all. I liked the trade and really liked AJ Brown in Tennessee. I think he looks even better to me this year. He looks more agile and lean than he did in Tennessee.

Well, as far as I know, Marino had 0 HOF targets.  Peyton had 1 in Harrison...Wayne isn't in yet, and I think Manning kind of made him anyway.  Mahomes had 2, now is down to 1.  Rodgers...I suppose Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams are both maybes.

Why is that impressive to you?  Shouldn’t that be presumed, since she’s on TV and all?

Think of all the sports announcers who can't ... the list is very, very long covering sports of al different shapes and sizes.

Think of all the myriad of NFL on air individuals.  Where would you put her?  ... top half? ... bottom half?  ... top 25% ... bottom 25% ... top 10% ... bottom 10%

Or to make it simple, think of the three individuals in tonight's SNF halftime ... Maria Taylor, Tony Dungy, and Rodney Harrison ... how would you rank those three in their ability to communicate with intelligence and insight?

I agree. I like him.

I gotta say, it truly astounds me how the Cowboys have gotten average to above average QB play for quite a while with mid-late round picks or UDFA’s.

My biggest issue was with Nick not taking the points to pretty much put the game away.  Eventually that cockiness will cost them.  I just believe that more teams are doing it now than ever.  I really like how the team fought back.  That’s a testament to the leadership.  Hurts is a reason for that now.

Jake was hurting.

Dan Marino would own every passing record in the books if he was the Phins QB in his prime today.

Love the add. Brings a missing piece to the WR corps.

Big, Strong and savvy. Can find the Sit-down zones or beat em deep, has the motor.

He changes how teams have to defend us. Worth every penny IMHO.

I didn't like it.  I don't care for the type of WR he is in the current NFL.  Contact is so heavily discouraged in the secondary, I question the value of a WR that plays to contact.  The late years of Jeffery, JJAW...I just don't like those possession, power forward WRs who don't separate as much.

And that's exactly what type of player Brown is...but he's just so good at it, that...through 4 weeks at least...it works anyway.  He's certainly one of those guys who is so good at boxing out the DB that he's open when he's covered.  I usually think that's an unreliable, less precise way to run an offense...better to be wide open....but he's just so good at those plays in traffic.

He complements Smith and Watkins, 2 guys that are all about separation.  If we had been pairing Brown with heavy use of 12 personnel or another bigger, possession oriented WR...the offense would be very congested.

He's thinking about her bottom half right now for sure.
