People are going nuts over this punt returner deal.  A proven, elusive, punt returner is not easy to acquire.  You’d most likely have to trade for one and that’s not good value.  It’s the hot topic at the moment.  Like "big back”.

Like I said, there’s one on the market right now.

If you could lock in one of these two as a guarantee, which would you choose? This doesn't mean the other choice won't happen, it just means you can guarantee one for 100% certainty?

1. Eagles get the NFC's top seed and HFA throughout playoffs.

2. Eagles get #1 overall pick from Saints.

So easily #2

The whole reason you want the #1 overall pick is so that you build a team capable of being a #1 seed.

The draft is fascinating. It has gotten so big that people over value it. It's an exciting event. Watching your team pick. It's great. But I'm half convinced some people would take the #1 pick over a spot in the Super Bowl. And that just makes no sense.

Choose carefully. Remember, he said locking in one doesnt mean the other wont happen.

I think the eagles will take care of winning the #1 seed on their own. Or at least, #2.  Its very much in their control.

The #1 overall pick is very much out of our control. And also seems far more unlikely than us winning the #1 seed.

Lock in the #1 pick. And take care of our playoff seeding on our own.

Fair. I think us landing the #1 seed is still very much up in the air. It's still early as hell. We still have to prove we can beat Dallas.

we will beat dallas.

We have to.  It's right before the bye.  This place couldn't handle two weeks of losing to Dallas discussion.

I get this logic, but we can be good for years vs. one year.

I do think Howie should be aggressive at this trade deadline. I'm sure he will.

Bad sign for Elliot.   Noticed in the game on Sunday, he was on camera right after the roughing, and I saw him pop a couple pills right there on the sideline with a guy that I have to assume was part of the training/medical staff.

#2 for me. Guaranteed #1 overall pick would be a game changer if Hurts is the future. Whether we make the playoffs or not it would be great to get that pick

Big Allagash White fan here. Kudos.

Only if the #1 overall pick is a generational prospect.  Otherwise, it makes so much sense to trade out to a QB-needy team — especially when the NFL was starved of QBs in the 2022 draft.  Look what the Niners gave up for Lance, and the Jets for Darnold (lol).  You’d be looking at getting 3-4 first and second round picks back just to move down a few spots.

All depends how the board lined up to the roster the Eagles are constructing.  I doubt the Saints pick will be any better than #10 or so, anyway.  I remember Eagles fans salivating when the Dolphins were 1-7 only to see them finish around .500

One year versus many years. Easy choice for the pick

How were the burgers?

They’re pretty good. I’ve gone there a few times since I moved down here. Nice break from the burger wars joints and franchises.

I guess you were expecting alright, alright, alright

That was the only correct answer.

I recall that and thinking I don't recall ever seeing anyone pop some drugs right on the sideline.  Then I wanted some of whatever it was.

If Kelce decides to come back for one more year after this one, do they move Jurgens to RG and let Seumalo walk? And draft a center a 3rd year straight?
