  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

I couldn't believe the hype the Colts were getting because they got Matt Ryan.  Major downgrade from Wentz.  He is totally washed at this point.  Foles would be much better for them.

Stumbled upon this stat… Dallas Goedert is second in the NFL with 204 yards after the catch.

DeVonta > Jeudy

Bears-Commanders are the Thursday night game next week. Does Amazon have a return policy?

Thursday night football has always sucked. There's maybe been 5 or 6 games since they started doing it that were worth watching. There should be no football on Thursday outside of Thanksgiving, it's trash.

When does Howie offer Dillard to Indy for a 2nd?

On Sunday, I’d dress Mailata and start Driscoll at LT.  If Driscoll impairs the functionality of the offense or if someone gets hurt elsewhere on the line where Driscoll would be needed, then call up Mailata at LT.

If Mailata is well enough to go, they would start him and rotate in Driscoll.  Mailata wants to play every game this season and is working hard to get ready.  They probably will let him play even he is less than 100%.  Good thing is that the OL has quality depth.

The K is a different story.  The ankle affects the kicking greatly and you don't want him to kick when the game is on the line.  They probably will elevate the new guy from PS for the game and sit Elliot if he can't go.

Ballard isn’t answering his calls anymore.

While I agree 100% with the bolded, The threat of Hurts running the ball helps both the running game , and the passing game. It helps the Oline etc.  If we were to take that away from our offense,  teams would play us much differently, likely limiting our current run game, as well as making it much harder to find open WR's.

Yes it can be done, but the entire offense benefits greatly from the threat of Huts running the ball. The ideal would be to show that threat 2-5 times a game max, to keep defenses honest.

Short term gains with the frequency they do things now.  I would love to see the number drop dramatically.  And his style of running change dramatically.  He doesn't need to try to run through multiple defenders to be a threat.

I think the 'future' might be a middle ground between running Hurts at an historic rate and having him try to be a statue.  Number 1... he has to take on less defenders.  Get down, get out of bounds.  Live to play another day.

Touchdown, first down, get down

So many bad matchups on TNF, its easy to choose to not tune in.

I'm ok with the Opener on Thursday.  But, yeah, spreading out the TNF games so that every team plays 1 game on it makes it garbage.  There are a lot of bad teams.  A LOT.   And the good news is that many of them are on the Eagles' schedule.

We knew the Colts would suck but I can't believe Denver is this bad on offense.

If he's already gotten the first down... I'm ok with getting down right then rather than taking on multiple defenders to try to get the touchdown.  In fact, I'd prefer it.  (Which might be sacrilegious to say.)

Best move Howie made this offseason was to NOT bring in Wilson.

Imagine if we got Wilson, and signed Allen Robinson.

Some people might be happy because Howie would probably really get fired the way that season would play out.

It’s hard to say definitively because Hackett appears to be a disaster, but it looks like the Eagles were lucky Wilson didn’t want to come here.

Between that,  ARob choosing LA and not trading for Ridley before he got busted for gambling, it’s been a wildly fortunate offseason.

Beat me to it.

It feels like the colts have had the ball for 25 of 30 minutes of the half and still only have 3 points.

Russ hasn’t been great but there’s been a bunch of issues. Hackett has been way too conservative with his play calling, they haven’t had their backs rush for over 3.6 yards per carry since week 2 and their oline the previous two weeks has just not been very good as they have given up 7 sacks and 13 Qb hits. Plus jeudy and Sutton have dropped passes. This whole offense is really out of whack and it doesn’t help they lost their best weapon in javonte Williams.

Yeah Howie's gotten it done, but holy crap we got lucky

Seeing the colts suck, wonder if we can look there at the trade deadline for our DL replenishment. Ngakoue would be a great get for us.

The question is what his value is.

To the colts, he is 27 and in the final year of his contract. Do they really want to pay him considering how far they are from contending? He doesnt fit in their window.

For us, his contract looks like this- 5M salary, 8M roster bonus. 13M cap hit.

Do we want him as a 1 year rental? Or do we want to sign him to a 4 year extension? Big determining factor in trade compensation.

Pierce is so damn good.

We didnt need to draft another WR after the AJ Brown trade, but Im always going to be sad we dont have Pickens or Pierce from that draft class.

How did this Colts team beat the Chiefs?
