The ump made the call, because the ball beat Harper to the bag, not because he saw the tag.  Where the umpire was, he couldn't see Harper's hand on the bag.  He was in the wrong position.  He's supposed to be inside the infield, not behind the bag there.

this inning might be the last inning we get from nola. Which is scary cause i have no clue what to expect from the pen at this point, we need 9 more outs and it’s only 2 runs right now.  

id probably send nola out for the 7th and hope he can get through it unscathed so it’s only 2 innings we have to get out of the pen 

Nola should be good for 1 more inning... but this team needs to get 9 more outs.   Countdown is on.

Absolutely, but I have someone up... question is... who?  Maybe Brogdon, but Alvarado if they have lefties coming up.  

I'd rather have Alvarado for the 8th.  Robertson likely for the 9th.

I’d stay away from brogdon tbh. Since august 23 he’s around an 7 era. I’m thinking they might go bellatti

That's the trouble.  2008 team... it was clock work and they got it done basically every game.   JC Romero for the 7th.  Ryan Madsen for the 8th.  Brad Lidge for the 9th.  Was almost perfect and almost as automatic as anything I can remember from a bullpen.

If Nola gets through this inning quick, I might throw him out for the 8th... and have two up in the bullpen behind him in case he gets in trouble.

 

NVM.  Nola seems to be laboring now.

When knebel got hurt the bullpen really suffered. He was awful in April and May but he really turned his season around after. They had Alvarado, dominguez, knebel and Robertson going before the injuries the pen looked fantastic. Then dominguez got hurt and he hasnt looked good since. I still think he’s hurting.

Dominguez is the piece they are missing right now.   And he's not right... or he's super pressing.   I lean to the former.

These throws across the infield seem weak... like they are aiming the ball.  Hoskins is doing a lot of stretching for low/short throws.

I agree with this move.   Nola needed to get that last guy out.  Didn't happen.  

Now we need 7 outs from the bullpen.   😬
