The saints are horrendous even if they win this one they’re gonna be really bad. Hoping for a Seattle rally but Seattle sucks too despite somehow winning big last week

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Wanted some opinions:

I have a Wentz jersey with the Super Bowl champs patch on it from 2018. I was thinking about getting the name plate changed to Brown for AJ Brown, but I think it would be dumb with that jersey since he wasn’t part of that team. And also for collecting purposes, I’m thinking about just keeping it as memorabilia since you can’t get them anymore. Think I should just leave the jersey as is and frame it or something?

Keep it.   Let's not act like Wentz in #11 was Tebow wearing #11 in the preseason.  Wentz was a huge part of this team having a Super Bowl team.

Brady has 30 pass attempts and it's not even HT yet.  Guess they don't want to run the ball.

He has not.

That said, I'd love to know what the statistically benchmarks he has to get for Eagles to get a better pick.

There is no benchmark. Howie spinned it that way and no one can convince me differently.

Alright, the Pats' alts/retro unis are great. They should make those permanent and scrap the weird ones they switched to a couple years ago.

Who's team rebrand has actually been better than what they used to wear?  I can't think of any team that has changed their logo/colors/identity and it ended up being for the better.

Keeping it classic and simple is almost always the way to go with uniforms.

Yep.  Also, way too many teams with dark colors these days.  Back to the old NFL Films tapes we were talking about earlier this week and they are just full of vibrant colors and the classic logos.  Imagine how those colors would look on today's TV's rather than a 27" Zenith with wire antennas.

Watching the Falcons and the ATL is just so dumb.  Such a trend that will go away so fast.

Let’s go

I do not understand the Seahawks' defensive gameplan.

Need Commies to win some games, don't want them with too high a pick.

Ron Rivera must think his unused timeouts will roll over to the 2nd half or something.

In all honesty if the ball beats the runner by plenty the runner should be out unless he completely whiffs on tag.

Nope.  It's not a force play.  The tag must be applied... because that's the rule.  And the opposite is not true.  If the runner beats the ball to the base, but comes off the base after arriving safely, they aren't safe if the tag is applied after they come off the bag.   On the base before the tag is safe.  Off the base when the tag happens out.  Ball present in the glove before the runner arrives, irrelevant.

The idea that the ball beating the runner to the base results in being called out is reserved for lower levels of baseball where each base doesn't have a dedicated umpire to be close enough to actually be able to see the play up close.   When there's a 4 man crew, there's no excuse for being in the wrong place to actually be able to see the whole play.  And that is what the umpire really screwed up.  He still might have called Harper out had he been where he was supposed to be.  And if he had, I'd not be happy with the call, but wouldn't be railing against it.  This is like a goal line call where the official is standing at the 10 yard line instead of on the goal line.   Be in the proper position to see the play... then call it how you see it.  When you fail at the first part, the second part is irrelevant.  He didn't know what he saw, because he couldn't see it.

Meanwhile, Falcons ending the first half like it's the end of the game... doing Falcons' things.  Had a TD there for the taking and just dropped the ball.  Gave up a sack.  Blew the FG attempt and then let Bucs march down and steal another 3 off them.

Nice! TD Hawks!

Josh Allen on pace for 700 yards passing in this game.  Hopefully the Bills keep the pedal to the metal.

Seahawks/Bucs off the top of my head

+-There is never a reason to root for a hated rival this early in the season.  Ridiculous

When you are this good with this schedule you want to win the conference, not just the division.

Thinking small is fine. Demanding others do the same is not.

The Eagles should be 6-0 or 5-1 in division. Even if they split with NY at 5-1 NY also lost to Dallas so 4-2 at best.

The Packers loss is objectively more valuable to the Eagles. The Eagles have more control over the Giants. They could lose to a 12-5 Packers team but still get the bye at 13-4.

Plus Rodgers is a grade A narcissist butthole.

New Orleans playing like a team who knows their team isn't good and their coach is bad.

Still need Seattle to close this out.

Both of their most current rebrands are 100%  better than their 2nd rebrands.  The Shawn Alexander Seahawks uniforms were so bad.  I just love their royal/green/silver.  Same with TB.  Their chrome helmet phase was absolute garbage and these current ones are better but I still prefer their creamsicle uniforms.

This goes to show how much of a complete joke Joe Judge was.

The Little Giants are trending up. It's been awhile since they were real rivals.

Amazing what happens to Belichek coaching tree candidates when they aren't cheating...

The giants aren’t good though. The cowboys probably are. I’d agree about the cowboys, but I don’t give a crap how many games the giants win. Total fool’s gold.

Creamsicles are fun for a one or two off every year. If it was their regular uniforms, it would be too much imo.

I grew up in western PA,  I’ve waited my entire life to see the Steelers suck this bad, and it’s glorious, most annoying fan base in the NFL

If that NFL-NFLPA player compensation bonus thing covers vet QBs then Geno is probably due a huge bonus at the end of the year.

He's getting 3.5 million this year.

Count me as someone who laughed at the Seahawks QB situation and has been fed some crow so far.

No way he is killing me in fantasy

You guys are getting way too cocky, worrying about seeding the Packers.  Win the division then worry about the rest.  Divisional opponents, especially hated rivals, matter first.

You are way too scared.

You have no high ground hiding in your hole afraid of the Cowboys and Giants.
