Amazing what happens to Belichek coaching tree candidates when they aren't cheating...

The biggest fault is every coach from his tree wants to be some no nonsense, hard ass coach that almost never works in the pro’s. Belichick is the outlier and it only works because of the number of championships they won. That approach is guaranteed to fail when a new coach joins a losing organization.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Obscure reference, Movie Buff, here.

Henry Fonda, as Nimitz, in "In Harms Way" , to Rockwell Tory ( John Wayne) upon awarding him his Rear Admiral Stars.

"Now we all know the Navy's never wrong, but in your case they were a little hard on bein right..."

Put that Movie right up there with the handfull of really good WW2 flicks..Kirk Douglas, Tom Tryon, Patricia, Paula..

The Enemy Below, 30 Seconds over Tokyo, They Were Expendable, Midway, The Longest Day...

Honorable mention, contemporary, Saving Private Ryan.

Marking time til 4pm.... :Eagle_smiley:

I am shocked the Patton is not on this list.  Battle of the Bulge also belongs, imo.

BTW, if you haven't seen it... Ike: Countdown to D-Day is pretty good.   Tom Selleck (weird casting to me, but he was really good... way too tall when they were doing his meet and greet with the 82nd airborne before they left) as Eisenhower in the months/weeks/hours leading up to the D Day invasion.

Nice fumble DK

I grew up in western PA,  I’ve waited my entire life to see the Steelers suck this bad, and it’s glorious, most annoying fan base in the NFL

It was unbearable during their SB runs.  All of my friends were Steelers fans and I couldn't stand it.  One for the thumb was the phrase they would say all year long.  Waving those damn towels around at home during a game or out at a bar.  I wanted so bad for the Packers/Steelers SB to be Eagles/Steelers but not sure that Eagles team would have beat them and I'm glad we avoided having to hear how the Steelers beat the Eagles in a SB.  Can you imagine?  Would probably top Cowboys fans still talking about their 3-peat 30 years later.

Just as a point of clarification... Dallas got 3 Super Bowls in the 90s, but not a 3-peat.

My fault.  That's how long ago it was that I forget.  Bills twice and Steelers once right?

Minnesota self-destructing.

Yes.  And the 49ers got the one to break up their 3-peat.  49ers beat the Chargers... Ricky Watters was a part of that team before he came to the Eagles.

Regressing to their mean.  They just aren't a very good team.

Yea, that 94 Niners team was great.  I was a huge Natrone Means fan and wanted the Chargers to win so bad.  Back to uniforms, that was the 75th Anniversary of the NFL and that was the year the league was littered with terrific throwbacks.

Just noticed the Steelers record is 1-3.  What are the odds they land the #1 pick and they get Will Anderson?  That would be just their luck though.  Be terrible and be in position to get the best player in the draft who fits their defense to a T.

The Cardinals are missing their starting C (which is a big deal), and OL #6. Also down CB #2.

@Doc S. @Iggles_Phan  If you want some WWII tank battle action check out T-34

Its like Fast and the Furious meets Fury  (its a Russian movie with English dubbing)

My buddy showed it to me and I really enjoyed it for what it was.

Worried about an over correction with the concussion situation. A player getting slammed to the ground and not having a concussion at all, and having say a shoulder injury, but being removed from the game anyway because of how the play "looked” because they’re afraid outrage mobs are going to trash them on social media.

And I’m all for player safety but I’m also for individual autonomy.

Ugh, Saints get their TD overturned. Saints back up.

I really hope its more like Fury and much, much less like Fast and the Furious.   I will check it out though.  Love tank movies.

Thanks for the recommendation.

The NFL loves the drama of it all. More attention and more money.

Only one tank movie needs to be discussed

Olave should not get back into the game.  He was a rag doll after landing on his head

Scared of what?  You don’t know anything about me.  It’s a Fing game. You win your division and then move on.  You’re so GD confident, then why are you "scared” of Green Bay?  We have hated rivals for a reason.  I don’t root for them in week Fing 5 because of being scared of Green Bay.

"scared” 😂  hiding in a hole?   You’re weird.

You think you have the right to tell us how to enjoy the season. You are clearly and obviously wrong.

You make stupid statements declaring some delusional 100% righteousness  (clowns use terms like never)

Stay in your sad little NFC East lane and stop preaching to people who have no interest in your weak sauce little views.,

I know we're anti Saints, but this sucks.

The Vikings

Olave scoring a TD on the same play he got knocked out is insane.

It was the short list... Patton is up there but not a true Fav of mine tho...Patton, tho a capable Commander, was not a likeable character, thus the movie suffers...Malden was great though...

Battle of the Bulge qualifies...also "Up Periscope" with Jim Garner, good stuff.

This feels like an ugly game coming where there is a letdown or make us hate life for 4 quarters before they win.

Tariq Woolen going one pick before the Eagles in the draft, then having us immediately trade out, is something we're going to be looking at for years.
