Quadree Ollison has solid size, nothing too exciting like you said, but I'd be fine there. Looked ok on these preseason games.
There's a few others mixed in that I'd be ok with. Anthony McFarland being another.

I hope they try and get one of either TE's Jalen Wydermyer or Kenny Yeboah.

I noted Ollison and Ozigbo out there, but opted against putting them on my list. They were late round talents to begin with who havent carved out a niche for themselves in a few years. Theres not much potential left there.

Maybe a rookie like Price or Teague, in that same mold. But not those guys who have had a few years now.

yeah. I think he wants to be WR coach here.

I always liked him as a player. Wonder how he would do as a coach

Seems like I'm striking a nerve with him telling him he's wrong. Maybe I'll throw on a skirt and report him to the mods for his personal attacks. Something he does very well

At the risk of sticking my toe in these waters, it seems you did an awful lot of work to slap him, once again.

Well done. :nonono:

I'd give John Kelly from the Browns a look too.

It's not just the Eagles. He did something in Philly a while back and really liked the town for some reason and had just kinda stuck around. I'm sure there's more context than that but he's been a lot of events/games recently.

I'm sorry but again, WTF are you talking about? Greg Ward is not a leader. He was when Joe Schmoe and Travis Fulgham were in the WR room, not with AJB and Smith now here. Stop. You are saying even dumber things than usual. Comparing basketball to football.

Ward's playing time hasn't been as robust as in past seasons – he has played 202 snaps in 2021, 19 percent of the offensive plays. But Ward has been a key member of the team for many reasons – his leadership, the way he has accepted his role, and the plays he has made when he is on the field.

Sirianni said. "He's a true professional. He's continued to work hard and be a leader and help our team in so many ways, and then when the ball has gone his way, he's been there to make the plays."

"Greg is one of the leaders on this team," Sirianni said. "He may not have played as much as he wanted this year, but he's always ready and he's always giving great effort on the field. That's what a leader does and the rest of the guys recognize him for that."

I remember reading something like that. He gave another waitress a 1k tip I believe.

Greg Ward is the 2nd best leader on the roster.

So what? Evaluated, identified, exposed, whatever. We know. Why the constant attacks? Move along and do better for yourself. The thing about wrestling with pigs is you both get muddy. What's the point?

I looked it up. I assume we are talking about the same guy, but it was the Rams.

Id give him a look too. But his issue was character. Not talent. If hes still not making a team I feel like he must be a D head.

Maybe Dawk can take this kid under his wing a bit. He's got that attitude and nastiness I want on this defense but there are reports can be a little off putting with it. Part of the reason the Saints traded him possibly. He's only 24, maybe in the right locker room he can mature a bit. Keep that nastiness just not be a off putting jo.

Is pig wrestling fun?

Blankenship will keep him in line.

No accounting for that. That's a personal approach.

I think the reason they traded him was 100% contract related.  Reports are they were more than $4 million apart.  With safety contracts climbing fast, I'm guessing he wants a hefty deal.  If the Eagles are smart, they would lock him up in the early part of the season after they see what he can do as a full-time safety.

Good team-by-team breakdown of last year's defenses per our discussion on zone vs man coverage tendencies...

coverage_by_week-1.svg?mode=max&width=99

https://operations.nfl.com/gameday/analytics/stats-articles/which-nfl-teams-mix-up-defensive-coverages-the-most-week-to-week/

PFF tends to be a bit generic.  Too many modifications for this to explain everything. I saw some attempts at Saban’s coverage in what Gannon was doing last year. This is a decent decent explanation of what Saban has been doing.  I saw plenty of situations where Slay was in MEG watching the All 22 (to the extent you could, NFL GamePass was awful last year).  Does NFL Operations call Cover 5 as Cover 2 Man?

I think there were some coverages where Slay was in Man Match coverage and maybe some with Maddox (Maddox didn’t stray from the zone, but also stuck on a receiver).  Do you get The Athletuc? Nguyen has some pretty good columns.
https://theathletic.com/2692635/2021/07/13/confusing-language-of-defensive-coverages-nfl-loaded-with-variations-of-terminology/

Still a bit simplistic but he was writing an article, not a book.

Nice brief summary of Man, Zone, Zone Match and Man Match.  If I use the terms Zone Match and Man Match, (with a dose of MEG and MOD) does that help you see where I was coming from in my original post?

Yes.

He seemed polarizing to the fanbase.  Some loved him, others not so much, but the kid loves football and plays to his strengths.

Glad to have him when he was here.

Edit, he's still here for the moment, now on IR.

I don’t think they are actually related. CGJ took the name Johnson in honor of his step father when he was in college
