I think on the whole rights of men and women improved under the code.  It was hardly an aspirational document that met the goals of The Declaration of the Rights of Man.  It was, however, a systemization of laws that made the legal system more coherent and equitable given the time.  

Also, you have to put Napoleon and his conquest of Europe in the context of the wars waged against France by Austria and England following the French Revolution.  It's not like the other European nations were innocents in the conflict.

Those camera guys require a pass (badge) to be on the field; there are rules and responsibilities that go with it.  If he wants to be passive-aggressive and file a police report, I'll do the same and tell Raiders brass to make a formal request to the league to have his field pass revoked.

Right!  Hopefully his young child was there to see it so he could give him a high 5 afterwards!  

Would baseball be better if they limited the amount of relief pitchers or made them face a minimum number of batters?  Do people like the matchup games that new age baseball brings us?  All of the pitching substitutions create too many breaks in an already slow sport.

I'm old school.   I want my starting pitches to be horses who can go 7, have a set up man or two and then your closer.  Obviously there are going to be games where you get yanked for a bad performance but I hate seeing a dominant pitcher get pulled after 6 because of pitch counts.  

I think a really neat concept for competitive professional leagues would be to have leagues that play by old school rules.  Too much governance is ruining our favorite sports.
