So Nola going tonight for the Phillies.  Some good news as the Braves lost to the DBacks today.  Nola on the road makes me cringe a bit.  At least the Pirates' lineup he's facing tonight is only 2-15 against him.  Looks like PGH's SP is getting just his 2nd start tonight (has had some BP action also).  He's only pitched 11.2 IPs, with just 6 H, 3 BBs, and 9 Ks.  That means he'll probably shutdown the Phillies' O for at least 5-6 IPs since that's what the ol' Phightins usually do in these situations.

This team and beating bad teams. Against the Rockies, pirates, dbacks and marlins they are a combined 14-19 if they lose tonight would be 14-20. And thus why the Phillies are going to be watching the playoffs from the couch

September Nola.  JFC.

He's really lost it.  He's just a #4 or #5 right now.  At least he's helping put us out of our misery once and for all.

And now it's 6-5.  They're just trying to string us along for as long as they can.

Wow torreyes hits a 3 run bomb. And now we get to see if the bullpen can hold this.

I don't know if it's funny or annoying that Nola can get the win here after pitching like total ass.

Other teams are totally pitching around Harper.  He had 3 BBs in 5 ABs and that's more trend the last month than not.  Imagine what he could do with someone good hitting behind him?  JT isn't it.  He's at best a #5 or #6.  Hoskins?  Possibly?  If he can get back to his form before Gabe tried to get him to draw BBs like he's Dykstra or mess up his swing with the launch angle analytics.  Odubel is not a lead-off hitter.  He's a #6 or #7 at best.  Whatever they need to do to find hitters who work the count and draw BBs and can consistently hit .280 or higher to fill the 1-2 spots in front of Harper, they need to do.  Set the table and let him clean it up.  Ohtani has had an average 2nd half while Harper has gone off.  Of course easier said than done since our minor leagues are devoid of talent and our payroll is up there though our lineup is mostly ass.  It's a shame to waste Harper's prime years.  Why do our FOs suck?

Watch, we will win the Braves series, be up one or two games, get swept by the Marlins and end up losing the division....lmfao

McCutchen comes off the books next year.  It's one of the best Free Agent classes of all time, and they have money to spend.

I can see them signing one of the top 3B or SS's and then using Stott and Bohm as trade bait for pitching

Third base: Nolan Arenado (opt-out), Kris Bryant, Eduardo Escobar, José Ramírez (club option), Kyle Seager (club option)

Shortstop: Javier Báez, Carlos Correa, Corey Seager, Andrelton Simmons, Trevor Story

Arenado at 3rd and Bryant in left. Bring Galvis back on a 1 year deal to play short. Hey, its not my money.

They also have a bunch of positions to field too. I’d argue CF, LF, SS, 3B, SP (maybe two cause have wheeler, eflin, nola and gibson but i wouldn’t just trust eflin or nola) and at least 2 bullpen pieces.

I’d probably go Correa or story. I lean Correa cause he is only 27 and he’s played on winning teams even if he’s cheated. Doesn’t have some of the coors field factor but I’d take either. I’d love to get Ramirez but he’s not leaving nor are the Indians giving him up unless you overpay with prospects which i guess if you get Correa or story could give up bohm and stott but i rather not. Id be surprised if harper isn’t talking to his good friend Bryant about being here. I tend to think they’d play him in LF and have bohm at third to start the year. If bohm stinks they move him 3b. Really if they had the DH in the NL could move hoskins into that role and Bryant at first.

Bullpen is money.

One blown save away from taking the record!

Phillies go from being up and the Braves down to the reverse in one inning.

Alright a chance to get the record tonight!!!! Way to go didi

And the pitcher that started the game for Braves is with the Pirates, Bryse Wilson

If we miss the playoffs there’s a positive if we win two more games it’s our first winning season in 9 years. :excited:
