Overall, I agree with you, but I still have flashbacks to game 5 of the 2011 NLDS, the last 2 games of the 2022 World Series, and the last 2 games of last year's NLCS where the offense does a disappearing act. My biggest fear with this team is the offense once again going cold when it matters most.

Of course it is better to have the Offense clicking and producing, but the quality of the pitching is a massive trump card.

Since the cardinals series: schwarber is 2-23 (.087) Realmuto is 1-17 (9Ks) (.059) Bohm is 4-23 (.173) even Stott has been miserable 4-21 (.190) harper is the only one consistently hitting at the top of the lineup since then 7-22 (.318) heck even Castellanos has been better than those 4: 6-22 (.272) ** also the Phillies since the start of Rockies series is averaging 3.6 runs a game.

June 8, 20241 yr If the Phillies decide to go lesser options in the OF, I’d not be against sterling marte. He was a guy I was interested in the previous two years. He’s a solid hitter. Isn’t great as a fielder but he’s not schwarber or hoskins. He also wouldn’t cost a whole lot to acquire. Add on he wouldn’t go to Atlanta, Milwaukee or dodgers and go josh bell on us

I didn’t think he would be as bad as he’s been. He’s been solid to good the majority of the last 6-7 years. Really 2022 wasn’t great but once he got traded from the royals to the jays he hit his stride. that said I’d trade for marte. That dude kills us. He will go to a team like dodgers or brewers or Braves and it’ll be like watching josh bell against us. he’s a solid hitter for us in this lineup and can play LF.
