June 11, 20241 yr Gonna find out how competent marchan is. He also has had issues staying healthy. also JT’s recovery time depends on if it was partial or full. If partial it’s 4-6 weeks. And if it’s full anywhere form 6 weeks to 3 months

June 11, 20241 yr Would be a pretty big disappointment if we wound up with McCarthy of the dbacks as the solution. Pham makes sense as they were interested last year. Probably not very expensive. He’s having a solid season and solid last postseason
June 11, 20241 yr If Dahl didn’t mistime his jump he actually had a good chance at catching it. At some point have to actually invest in a better backup catcher considering JT is 33 years old and his body is going to begin to deteriorate. Stubbs is not capable of playing the amount of games he’s going to be asked during JT’s absence (offensively you have too many easy outs in the lineup). If jt was still young it makes sense. Hes older and in his mid 30s. I said when they traded o’happe they should draft a catcher early and begin to develop him so he’s ready by the last 2 years of JT’s contract cause there was a chance he needs more days off at that point and he begins to decline more. They’ve yet to do it.
