Roughly 15 to 20 games. They want instant results.... but don't want to do the work and the time to get there. The last few years this team has had a ton of talent .... terribly misused and mismanaged

It’s cause they don’t believe he’s an everyday player. It’s cause for his career he hits .217 in nearly 500 ABs. Heck if you combine his 2024 and 2025 ABs against LHP he’s 21-104 which is a .202 average. From 2023 til now he’s had 200 ABs. He’s hitting .215. So at this point they feel as though they’ve seen him enough to know he’s not gonna be able to hit left-handed. Pitching well enough. The issue is is that they don’t have anybody on their bench platoon him correctly. Ditto for Kepler who’s been bad against LHP pitching this year (in general really besides a week or two when he hits HRs)We can blame Thomson, but Jayson stark has talked about this it goes all the way up to Dave Dombrowski and their analytics team when making these decisions with platoons. Dombrowski knew that the Phillies analytics team did not believe Brandon marsh was more than a platoon outfielder and decided that getting another left-handed hitter in Kepler was the way to go instead of a right handed bat which they have needed since Hoskins got hurt. Instead, they got another left-handed bat, which makes your lineup awful when you have to sit Kepler and Brandon marsh. And if you play them you are at a disadvantage as Kepler is old and closer to the end vs LHP and marsh has never consistently hit them besides his first season in the big leagues Fact Kennedy is on this team is a joke. The fact he has started back to back games is laughable. Furthermore you’ve now stunted any chance Rojas would develop. They brought him up knowing he needed to play frequently so he could improve his swing and at bats. It’s why he realistically should’ve been in the minors developing. He wasn’t ready offensively at that time. Really he should’ve been in the minors working on his swing but the outfield was so bad in 2023 it forced their hand. One of the reasons I don’t think Crawford has been called up is because they saw what happened to Rojas. Crawford is more ready than Rojas yet down in triple A still. I think partial trade value but also partially if he’s not playing everyday he’s better off getting at bats everyday otherwise might not develop with his bat the way they thought like Rojas
June 25, 20251 yr The 2011 Phillies assembled the greatest rotation I've ever seen and were my personal all time #1 "what could have been" Philadelphia team. That rotation, in comparison to 2025, had bigger names with better career resumes...but it's interesting to look at the numbers.ERA/WHIPRoy Halladay 2.35/1.040Cliff Lee 2.40/1.027Cole Hammels 2.79/0.986Roy Oswalt 3.69/1.338Zach Wheeler 2.61/0.914Jesus Luzardo 4.08/1.373Ranger Suarez 2.20/1.064Christopher Sanchez 2.87/1.186They aren't that far off.The question is can a team with an average lineup, below average fielding, and well below average bullpen get carried to a championship by a 4 man rotation?
June 25, 20251 yr If the Phils make the playoffs, the game that eliminates them will be like last night.

However if the RH bat that’s best is 1B or 3B then he should make they move and move Harper back to OF and particularly LF. The theory was 1b was supposed to prevent wear and tear and injuries. He’s had injuries and wear and tear at 1b. So at this point get the best RH bat available
June 25, 20251 yr Basically getting Rojas with power. His slashes the last 2 years been brutal 2023: .264/.315/857 38 HRs 80 RBI2024: .224/.278/.657 14 HRs 35 RBI2025: .185/.270/.584 8 HRs 32 RBI
June 26, 20251 yr Yup might not score again tonight. Currently at 12 consecutive innings without scoring

He’s not ever going to have great power or hit Hrs like utley. Not a whole bunch of second baseman do. You just need him to be competent bottom of the lineup guy (8-9). Would be possible if we didn’t have crap in the OF and realmuto on his last legs.Frankly, if the Phillies were smart, if the diamondbacks made Suarez available at the deadline, they should go after him. He can play third base, he hit 251 but 162 game pace to hit 52 home runs and 140 RBI. He has 25 home runs and 67 RBIs and we’re not even through June yet. He strikes out a lot but that’s fine if he’s protecting Harper and Schwarber in that lineup. Pushes everyone down into the right a Slot and can move Bohm to 1b and Harper to OF
June 26, 20251 yr There’s no reason Crawford isn’t in the majors as Rojas and Kepler are futile and suck

Gutted it and made it thru 6 giving up 1. Where he likely takes the loss as the offense stinks and the bullpen likely makes it go from 1 to 2-3
