You take what you get and keep them going up against strong arms who they haven't seen a few times today. That was my thinking. You saw what happened to Sanchez the other night as well. The more times they face a guy in the same day with a weakening arm isn't ideal to me. He's not Roy or Cliff back in the day.Snell was at 100 pitches. Even Dave Roberts let snell go to 100. And snell wasn’t remotely as good as luzardo as he was walking a ton of guys. Luzardo was at 72! 72 pitches. Like you know how well Luzardo had to be pitching to get through 6 at 72 pitches considering his first inning he had 24. Means the next 5 innings he had thrown 48 pitches to get 17 outs. Thats Fing Roy Halladay crap. He may not usually be halladay but that’s crap halladay does As for Sanchez he was also close to 90 pitches when he began falling apart. Not 72 and not retiring 17 straight batters on 48 pitches. Again that’s Fing Roy halladay type pitching.

However Kerkering actually did his job that inning but Turner Fed up a throw home and really that throw changed this from 0-0 to 4-0Turner threw the ball close to where JT’s glove was set up, on a bang-bang play. Could he have lead him slightly more towards home plate, yes, but only slightly because JT catches with his left hand. It would have been extremely awkward and hard to apply the tag to the runner at home based on where JT was lined up had Turner throw it significantly more towards home plate. It’s a makable play, no doubt, but it wasn’t an egregious throwing error.

Yes 72 so he had maybe 10 before his arm started to weaken. So I thought it was wrong and it was. Guess where he fell off? So your argument is he only had 72 pitches and yet he fell off pretty fast. Pitch count doesn't matter. It wasn't F'ing Roy Holladay crap. The Dodgers are a good team. The more times they see you in one day with a weakening arm isn't good.

Don’t blame Turner. Then blame Jt for not setting up where he needed to be.Either way Kerkering got the ball they needed to get in that situation. They didn’t make the play. After that Kerkering imploded. But frankly he had to face a minimum of 3 so we’re likely screw once they didn’t get that out.

You are the only one that’s gonna ever argue that.

You think that's BS. Whatever. Defend his use of the pen as well I don't care. You are right. We can move on. Like I said I respect you so I don't care.
October 7, 20251 yr Fire topper anyway. He didn’t have a chance to screw this series up but I’m sure if we hit he’d have found a way to lose anyway

I just think their bullpen sucks is a bigger issue and whatever manager has that pen is doomed to failure. so whatever move he’s gonna make you’re basically skating on thin ice hoping it works out.My issue is more you’re telling me you’re gonna remove a guy in luzardo who’s retired 17 bats in a row against one of the best teams in baseball (who’s about to win back to back World Series) and that guy has been dominating them to go to a bullpen that Fing sucks before the 7th starts. Nobody’s doing that. No offense You’re gonna hate the next manager too, because the next manager is still not doing that.

To me it's how many times have they faced him? How many pitches can he throw at a very high level vs that very good team before he starts to weaken? 10 pitches would have been my guess. Do you want to blow a bad pen arm or go with Ranger in a game you obviously have to keep tight with the bats not going? To each their own. You want to get off before it crashes. Because he is facing the best team in baseball and because of how good they are that's why. Maybe I'm dumb for thinking that and have a bunch of Philly fan this is going to crash mentality in me as well. Like I said you right. I respect you and your knowledge is better than mine.

So you basically have to get seven innings so that you only have to get 6 outs from your bullpen. Anything more you are dealing with explosives. So I have no problem with the manager going with a guy who looked like Roy tonight. You ride him until he starts showing cracks because your bullpen has already showed the last two playoff to be terrible. We have legitimately one guy you can trust in Duran .

He’s part of a problem but bigger problem is their GM roster construction. The problem is if another manager comes in and does what you said you wanted at 72 pitches and the bullpen implodes he’s getting run out of town. Like no other manager is touching luzardo at that point. If he was 85-90 pitches I’d be more on your side.
