It’s not that great of an accomplishment tbh. The 2001-2006 Phillies did it multiple times but they had a good young nucleus and it felt like were building towards something big. Feels like this team isn’t building towards anything more than a team that is slightly above average.

May 20, 20215 yr So just to confirm what I've been seeing, I looked up the Phillies stats with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Yeah, not pretty. They rank 28th with a batting average of .132 with a .371/.261/.632 slash line. How much better would their record be if they were say 15th or even 17th? Their top 3 starters have been very good, and while the bullpen still has the occasional hiccup, they are still better than last year. So unless the offense gets their collective crap together, they will continue to be a .500 ball club and it'll be 10 straight years of no playoffs.
