Here is where this was going @jsb235.  A bunch of folks trying to say Herbert is not as good a QB as Hurts.  

Here are the stats side by side.  Herbert is being to asked to carry his team, as evidenced by 173 more passing attempts.

 

 

Using the rankings that 4for4 provided, he is being asked to do that with these players.

 

Keenan Allen ( ranked 15th and only played in 6 games ) compared to top 5 WR AJ Brown

Mike Williams ( ranked 20th and only played in 9 games ) compared to top 10 WR DeVonta Smith.

Gerald Everett ( ranked 15th ) compared to top 5 TE Dallas Goedert.

 

Hurts has been gifted skill guys, a top line, and being protected by not having to throw the ball as much as other QB's.

What do you think Hurts numbers look like if Devonta and AJ have missed a combined 11 games.

Hurts deserves the MVP over Mahomes this year. I was wrong about Hurts and so were many of us. And I’m glad I was.
