April 14Apr 14 Premiere was fine. Slightly boring but without spoiling too much it makes sense with the story. I thought it was pretty cool with how they introduced and explained Stalkers. They aren't really in the game that much but I'm guessing they will be playing a large role this season. That variant will translate well to TV and add some tense moments.

I'm curious what the details will be behind that and also if it changes the trajectory of the story at all.
April 14Apr 14 Also down on Bella Ramsey casting. I know they can't just randomly switch it up for the second season but this is supposed to be like a 5+ year time jump and she looks exactly the same. She has way too much of a baby face to be taken seriously or threatening at all.

They changed that scene a bit. I was curious how I'd react to it because the game felt differentInteresting Abby said the nurses said he didn't even look at them but in episode 1 said no one survived. Though in the game I left no one alive lol
April 21Apr 21 Minor difference from the game but I thought it was great they had Dina and Joel on patrol, and everything else, instead of Tommy and Joel. Tommy doesn’t need motivation to avenge his brother. That switch validates Dina’s motivations and adds a layer to her character that wasn’t in the game.I thought it was a great episode. My minor nitpick would be how the bloater was taken out pretty easily with just a flame thrower when last season the dude unloaded a full clip into one that didn’t even stop it from charging. Kaitlyn Dever is really good as Abby. It’s not a great game adaptation but her acting is good and it also helps she’s on the smaller side considering Ellie is built like a 12 year old.
