Refs overturning a clear catch by Devonta also could’ve cost us 4 points. I’m actually shocked they way they called the game that they let the Goesdert catch stand.

They had to let one be a catch since they didn’t give them the first one.

Stop this revisionist BS! The Fumble gave them 7, and we rattled off 10 straight. And went into half up 10. Hurts tied the game up and kept us in the game the whole time.    Defense gave up 24

Blaming Hurts is just crazy.  Without him, we aren't even in that game for a minute.

Did he give them 7 sure. But this is not what cost then the game. The d did nothing to stop anyone. They were also up 10 at the half. Hurts did all he could. He doesn’t play d. He doesn’t play special teams.

He shouldn't give them a free 7 points either. It all cost them the game. You can't just drop the ball for no reason, give up a td and not share in the blame.

It happens. He responded by playing a hell of a game after. He could have folded but he didn’t.

It really wouldn't bother me as much if it wasn't for that defensive holding penalty at the end.

Of all people this quarterback will undoubtedly blame himself because of that mistake. It was certainly not the end all that some are making it out to be though.

Yep, we would have had time, 1 timeout and a chance to win or tie and I think we would hav at least tied.  Sucks that they call that there and even the announcer felt the same.

Yup. He played his a$$ off. But it just wasn’t in the cards. Refs handed the Chiefs the game on a bogus penalty. If Hurts gets a chance he likely ties the game at the very least.

Anyone criticizing Hurts is an idiot. He played at an elite level tonight, left it all on the field. The last play aside you guys lost it through line play. Our D-line put more pressure on Hurts than yours did on Mahomes and it wasn’t close. The punt return was a big play, but allowing us to run the exact play twice for touchdowns in the red zone twice late was unbelievable. This loss is on your defense 100%

I knew it was coming though. The league has become predictable like the WWE.

It wasn't the only factor but it matters. A kicker could make 5 field goals and miss one at the end and be blamed for losing. Imagine if kc loses by 3, people would be blaming the kicker for missing that one fg.

He also doesn’t want to get fined by the nfl lol!

Who cares at this point. Get fined. He’s getting paid in free agency anyways.

THIS is the 7 points that lost the game. Love the guy, but it's the truth. And NOBODY EVEN TOUCHED HIM. He just gave the Chiefs 7 points in the biggest game of the year.

The Hurts fumble suuuuucked, but so did the special teams breakdown, the several WIDE open receivers, Gannon's defense, Sanders' fumble, the bad holding call, letting gimpy Mahomes get a huge run, making JuJu look like Jerry Rice.

Shoulda retired before this fiasco old man!

We all knew Gannon would cost them eventually. He was exposed on the biggest stage. It just makes it more likely that he’s back in Philly next year 🙄

They couldn't get a single stop when it mattered is what im saying.

These things never really boil down to 1 play. We can only surmise what a no call would have led to but it was slim chances regardless.

The defense was horrendous all game and more so in the 2nd half, and it cost them.

Yes the defense undeniably sucked in the second half, I never denied that.  It still doesn’t discount what I’ve said though.  The refs took 4 points away from us by overturning the Smith catch earlier in the game.  And had the last BS call not been made, you’re talking the difference between 8 seconds and no timeouts versus around 1:45 with at least 1 timeout.  That’s not "slim chances”, that astronomically would have increased our chances of winning the game.

A fumble in the second quarter "costing them the game” is the stupidest Fing logic. Especially when we recovered to take a 10 point lead.

That field was as bad as it gets. It’s sad that a billion dollar company lets that field be rolled out.

They were up 10 at the half and couldn’t stop the Chiefs once in the second. But yeah blame the qb that helped score 35 points 🙄

Yeah, this is my issue, the call doesn’t get made and they kick it to go up 3 with 2 minute or a little under that, we get the ball and dont score, im ok with that…but that call gave the game away.

you dont do that as a ref. A questionable call goes uncalled, especially when its not consistent with the rest of the game.

Yup I’m alright with them getting it back and doing nothing with it. But the refs took it away on a bogus call.

Well at least it was a fun season. I never expected the Super Bowl. Always had my doubts.

This reminds me of SB last year when they let them play. But on rams gw drive they decided to start throwing their flags.

I never understood why teams on a game winning FG don't purposely try to jump the snap and get a block, might guess right. Just nit picking now.
