Eh, I didn't put much stock into critic reviews for super hero movies. Not saying I think it's gunna be great, but this doesn't scare me much

I always expect the Influencers to be scathing as it generates views and clicks, but it's more normal industry people that are being critical. That's what caught my eye. People who are generally very positive.

I liked Supergirl

What I didn't like was the story of the girl who was on her revenge tour. I didn't really care for her. She also never listened to Kara despite finding out Kara is very powerful

The girl reminded me of the kid or dog that doesn't stay when you tell it to. It got annoying

I liked how they mentioned what different kryptonite does to them but I wish they expanded more

Also it seemed like Kara was always hindered by the red sun, some poison, being drunk, or green kryptonite

Lobo felt like a late addition. He didn't really add much to the story

I did like how they showed Kara being different from Clark

I have AMC ALIST so it's free for me. I saw it in Dolby Cinema because we have the fake IMAX (not laser). There was more that I liked than didn't like

I was thinking about going next week sometime but, was going to get some feedback first. If I don't get a good feeling about it I'll just wait till it comes to streaming. Trying to do that without spoilers though lol. Thank you

I'm biased but the problem is that it's trendy to hate DC so it's difficult to find a fair one IMO

Like the link I gave is a bunch of nitpicking to me. I think there was like 1 or 2 things that I agreed with but he even complained about a song choice

I loved superman and I'm not a superman guy at all. Supergirl looks good in my opinion. I'm gonna have to go see it now to see what you are talking about.

I never read many comics, mostly just saw superheroes on tv & movies. I don’t know the Lobo character or Supergirl either.

Lobo in the trailer looks silly to me. Momoa playing himself with white makeup on. Him, Jack Black & others just have the same tired shtick in everything. I'm interested in Supergirl as a character but Lobo, zero interest.

Was an afterthought when they realised the film was a bit of a clunker, hence why Jason Momoa playing Jason Momoa had no impact on the story other than, oh look, its Jason Momoa. And that in itself, is not necessarily a bad thing

this was a not good movie

not sure it will be as satisfying as seeing ryan reynolds get killed by deadpool.

That's meta part that Reynolds gets off on.

Matt Reeves Batman has been delayed until early 2028, but the promo suit looks interesting. Wonder if the delay will conveniently mean that the Gunn verse is canned and this may take over?

From what I saw, the delay is to give some stupid JJ Abrams movie an October release.

Pattinson's Batman was cool, his emo Bruce was awful. The director did a good job overall. There hasn't been a truly perfect Batman movie. Batman Begins was really good, but that series lacked the gothic look and feel, going for more "realistic" and grounded, which is cool too but was missing something. I liked some aspects of the Tim Burton/Keaton ones, Batfleck in BvS was cool, the Gotham TV show had some interesting things. We need a series that puts all aspects together really well.

They need to do a series from the Arkham games.
