Obama wore a tan suit one time and Fox News went nuts.

Also, the girl that he's looking away from in that well-used meme is significantly hotter than the girl he's looking at.

That must mean the one he is looking at has an amazingly perfect pooper, and we will never know the joy of also seeing it. Kinda sad if you think about it.

And of course, he would still be wrong even if it wasn’t true. Slander is for spoken words. Written words are libel.

Words have meanings.

Catching up here

so they make 2k less than people walking out of college who are going to go off and actually do something

Yeah, teachers are way WAY overpaid

Laughable

And how much prep do you really need?

You'd be surprised when you have a class of 30 kids at and 10 of them with different IEPS.

If it really takes 4-6 weeks to prep for a lesson plan that really hasn't changed much since the previous year, you are extremely inefficient at your job

If you are a good teacher who actually cares about your students, you frequently modify and sometimes completely scrap your lessons between years in order to improve them and make them more appropriate for different cohorts.

Then again, if they were capable of working smart, they wouldn't be teachers.

Time to slash teachers salaries.

Don't be a d**k

Paco, you're a cool dude and I (usually) enjoy your commentary, but you really come off as very conceited and out-of-touch in these posts. I don't know where in life some teacher wronged you or where your jealousy stems from, but you clearly have some emotional baggage when it comes to educators.

These posts evince an extreme level of ignorance and callousness. I'd suggest sticking to topics that you actually understand and can engage on an intelligent level, unless you just want to proudly wear the badge of d-bag who $hits on teachers...

Jealousy?

Hatred? I don't know what kind of emotion it is exactly, but there's definitely something there. Either way, you clearly have some animosity directed towards educators, and that usually doesn't come from nowhere...

Not hatred either.  Having multiple family members working for schools (both public and private) I have found the majority of them to be worthless.  There are some good ones, yes, but most are just trying to earn a pension.

Maybe you need to level up the family, lol.

Not sure what that means but ok.

Lets take, for example, that art teacher that I went to high school with and is at the school my mom works for (principals assistant).  He has a lukewarm IQ.  He only teaches art for kindergarteners and 1st graders.  He does his job poorly, but has no fear of being fired because the union has his back and no motivation to improve because he gets his standard yearly raise.  He gets paid over 60k to fingrepaint with children 3/4 of the year and gets summers off.  Its obscene

That's my issue I have with teachers.  And I find this to be the case with many of them.

It was sort of a joke that your sentence could be taken to mean "having family members that are worthless."

You seem to be heavily using anecdotes to support your position, which seems skewed. I mean, this guy is definitely not the norm, and I could maybe accept the idea of a primary school art teacher not making the boldest contributions in general. There are many more making far less but still slogging it out, year after year, trying their best to impart basic skills to little sh**s with s**** parents and a s**** administration that never has their back. In the case of urban schools, teachers do all of this under a very real threat of physical assault by violent students.

You seem very far removed from this reality.

They aren't teachers.  They actually contribute

If it's such a terrible job, get a better education and do something productive.  Or get a job at wal-mart.  They're qualified for that kind of work.
