Its not "running away."  You learn this when you live with people who have poor life habits, like smoking, drugs, poor spending, drinking, not cleaning up their house...

You can't change other people.  You can only control yourself.  The best way to do you is to cut out the people that are bringing you down.  In reality, that's the best thing for the other person with the poor habits too, because it's the only way they learn

With teacher though, this effects people that don't have a choice. The kids. Kids do not choose to get born into low income neighborhoods with low property taxes and therefore poor school systems and lower paid teachers. That why I posted earlier the biggest hurdle to "equalizing" education is to not have the budgets tied to property taxes.

You're not doing those kids a favor either paying teachers for poor behaviors.  Or maybe you put a bandaid on it, but it just perpetuates a bad system for the next round of kids that come in next year.  The whole thing just needs to collapse and the only way that happens is if you stop pouring money and rescources into it

I said budget, not just teachers salaries. And I never mentioned putting more money into it, just not have each school system tied to property tax.

BTW an important part of building a solid arguement is actually reading and understanding what the other person actually said. I'd work on that if I were you.

Why is it so hard that if you like the salary being offered, you take the job, but if you don’t, then you work somewhere else?

Get outta here booger boy.

I made the point about teachers accepting whatever salary is offered.  You interjected.  It is therefor up to you to address my points, not me to address a point you made in a separate discussion with someone else.

And you responded to me. And your response to my post had nothing to do with what I said. My interjection was directly related to "taking whatever salary is offered". Of course salaries are going to be higher in wealthier neighborhoods, and those are going to attract the better teachers. It's all connected because of how we hitch budget to property tax.

My response to your post simply expanded on the discussion. Your response to mine was nonsense.

And as far as "letting it collapse",  that's pretty easy for someone who doesn't have kids currently in public schools to say.

So why did you bother to type all those meaningless words just now?

Lol.  Im just sayin im more in the "talk is cheap” camp than the "words have meaning” Camp

You would probably be better off just making the same gender joke over and over again like you have been doing. It's dull and simplistic, but it fits.

But word do have meaning. You just typed a bunch and I knew exactly what you meant.

Yes i understand your point.   Words are how we communicate.   However, for the most part, it is actions that i put my stock in.  Eapecially as it relates to work and politic

Yeah but this is a message board lol. Actions mean pretty much nothing here, at least in interactions with each other.

None of this budget or property tax has anything to do with that if you like a salary you take the job.  If you don’t you go somewhere else

Agree on that.  But i think ypu can agree that while we use words to communicate on this board, hopefully none of us take any of those words as meaningful of factual.

for example, we have this perceptions of what type if person the posters here are like in real world based of their words typed.   But we know nothing about the them in actuality

After over 20 years on the boards all i know is Bopeph is fat and Paco is hairy. I know the left cant meme and dallas sucks.

True. I agree. That's true of every job and occupation.

And I am adding to that sentiment with my thoughts about how school systems get their budgets, and also commenting on how I think that creates inequality. If you don't want to add or argue that part of the discussion, go argue about how the election was stolen in another thread, or make another 2 dozen really weak gender jokes that no one thinks are funny.

All true. But to go back to the actual thought that started this entire line of discussion,  words have definitions (meaning) and @Seventy_Yard_FG is an idiot.

But you’re the one who argued with me, not the other way around.

No, I added new thoughts to the discussion. I know this is all really hard for someone like you to follow.  If all you wanted the conversation to entail is "if you don't like the pay, pick a new job", then we can end this entire back and forth by me saying "yes, true". And you can go back to another thread and cry about how Trump had an election stolen because they counted all the votes

Pretty much everything you say is nasty and denigrating.  You must be a real a-hole in real life

This is dumb for so many reasons but babysitters don’t get paid a full rate per child. That was definitely made by a stupid teacher.

$15/hr around here for childcare, so...

$15 x 8hr = $120/day (school day is only 6.5 hours but whatever)

$120 x 180 days = $21,600/yr

teachers around here are way overpaid
