Then add the murder of 3 people while in the commission of a class G felony, he did plenty wrong. Plus, having a soda bottle in a plastic bag thrown at you is not covered by self defense laws. Wisconsin law allows you to threaten or use force against another person when you reasonably believe that they intend to do you harm or illegally interfere with your person. However, you are authorized to use only the force necessary to prevent the harm or interference from occurring. This means that you may only use deadly force in self-defense if you reasonably believe that it is necessary to prevent someone from killing or doing great bodily harm to you. You are also permitted to use force to defend a third party if your intervention is necessary to protect him or her from harm. If you provoke an attack, you may not be able to claim legal self-defense against the attack unless it is likely to cause your death or great bodily harm. Even then, you must attempt every other reasonable option to escape, avoid, or prevent the attack before resorting to deadly force yourself. Additionally, you may not be entitled to a claim of self-defense if you provoked another person’s attack as an excuse for you to kill or severely harm that person.

It was self defense x3. Dude clapped a bunch of degenerates. He should be getting a medal.

Underaged kid, from another state, open carrying in violation of Wisconsin state law murders 3 people, and you want to give him a medal. Now he is hanging out with the proud boys in a bar and drinking, also illegal.

Also from the "another state” trope is getting tired. Dude was from a few miles away from where it happened, just across the state lines. His life was threatened by an angry mob hellbent on destruction. He clapped three of them. Not to mention one was a chomo and another was a domestic abuser who was legally prohibited from possessing the pistol he had when he tried to shoot Rittenhouse. Good riddance to them all. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

April 8, 20214 yr I would think he would have had to have prior permission from the gas station owner to open carry a gun, minor or not. I haven't seen anything to this effect. I somehow doubt he did. And I've seen nothing indicating he had stationed himself in one place. Even the video indicates him in multiple places prior to the shooting. He was certainly in public, even if you want to go with this tortured defense that he was on private property (which, again, presumes he had prior permission from the owner). Rittenhouse was among those playing stupid games here.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Not when you're 17. As for winning stupid prizes... I'm sure being embroiled in a legal battle because you foolishly put yourself in a situation like that is one heck of a prize.

April 9, 20214 yr So prior to the shooting he wasn't at a gas station, he was at a car shop around 11:30pm. This is at 5912 Sheridan Rd. So whatever information you're drawing from is simply inaccurate even about the location. The shooting took place caddy-corner from that shot, in Car Source's (car dealer) lot. So he was stationed at the repair lot that serviced cars from this other lot, according to news reports. (there was no gas station involved; there were some mis-reports, but it was a car repair center not a gas station) The owner denied asking gunmen to protect his business, so clearly he didn't have permission to public carry - minor or not - on a private business. Maybe he was even trespassing. https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/crime/2020/09/03/kenosha-car-dealer-denies-he-asked-gunmen-protect-his-business/5705974002/ Whether or not he's guilty of murder or innocent in self defense, the kid was open carrying illegally. If he was on private property he did not have permission from the owner to carry, and if he was on public property he's guilty of a misdemeanor. Either way, again, play stupid games win stupid prizes.
