New Zealand.. Denmark.. all have strong gun control.. none have had tyrants..

How dare you in seriousness, I do support the 2nd amendment (though think there is some room for sensible gun control), but have to laugh at this notion that it's somehow there to "prevent tyrants". we have one of the oldest constitution of modern democracies / republics. one of the longest continuous representative government on the planet. in the time since the US government was formed, countries all over Europe have embraced and overthrown various tyrants, forms of government.. empires have grown and receded.. yet in America there's been only the civil war that has seriously threatened the federal government.. there's been plenty of reason and opportunity to rise up against the US government over the past 250 or so years.. one would think that if the 2nd amendment was a big factor there that we would have seen something more than this guy become the face of "revolution":

All I can say is let history lead us in regards to what happens to societies where the government has all the weapons and the people have none. clearly taking the citizens ability to protect themselves away form them has caused the most violent massacres the world has ever seen. Even wildlife animals couldn’t/wouldn’t slaughter the way the likes of hitler and many others have time and time again throughout history. Lone wolf looneys who commit mass killings, as horrible as they are, don’t even come close into comparison of taking families (children, mothers, grandparents) all put into a ditch face down by and shot dead and buried city by city sate by state country by country. You really didn't address any of the multiple examples he gave. And I consider myself fairly pro gun.
