You guys got your ish pushed in by Joe F'ing Biden (lol) and instead of being like "damn, we need to get it together and nominate someone better next time" you rubes instead double down on the lies from a reality game show host.

A fair point, do you think if he becomes CEO he will run Twitter in a politically neutral fashion, or will he be just as guilty in censoring for political biases as the current leaders of Twitter?

I'll say this, to what you just said. If COVID had not hit and the media and politicians not used it as a fear mongering tool, or if Hunters Laptop wasn't surpressed as Russian Disinfo, Trump is likely the President. Biden didn't beat Trump the Dems/Leftist media did that. Something a lot of people who Voted for Biden now see through, and have learned not to trust the Dems and the media. The pendulum is about to swing hard the other way, as it often does. The question is was it worth it? You may believe yes it was, but to most Americans, it wasn't.

Cool story and all, but it has literally nothing to do with gop voters having the collective IQ of a house plant for still believing Biden stole the election. I'm embarrassed for you.

Don't know, don't care, it's his company, he can do as he pleases (just keep that share price up, dick head!) He just sounds really dumb when he speaks out of both sides of his mouth like that.

Well I mean, you can, but you won't be taken seriously.

Pretty naive to think the strong personal beliefs of a micromanager like Musk won't bleed into the way in which the company he owns is run. No different than people criticizing Zuckerberg for ardently keeping his personal life private and being irritable with journalists while running a company that exhaustively mines the personal data of all its users.

It’s a stretch that a guy wanting free speech on social media is going to silence just one side. Good try though.

I don't know that I'd characterize Musk as a micromanager. Sometimes he's meddlesome. But mostly he asks the possibles on the extremes of his subordinates and maintains those high expectations, welcoming people to walk if they can't take it. Radical candor as a way of life. I'm generally a fan.

Well isn't that why people were all bent out of shape in the first place? Because Twitter wasn't politically neutral enough allegedly? If you're struggling with understanding my point, just imagine the optics if Jack Dorsey was saying what Musk is saying publicly.

That is the neutrality I believe musk is stating he will bring.

In that vein, I think he's more like Jobs than Woz. I respect guys like the latter way more than the former.

Yea they were claimed to have been censoring the right because we saw antifa, blm and other left scumbags be allowed to remain while right wing scumbags were "censored”. Musk claiming he will turn republican and then allowing trolls from both sides to be on Twitter is equality.

Musk claiming he will turn republican and then allowing trolls from both sides to be on Twitter is equality. Sure, that was the perception of what was happening. And I'll concede that perception is, of course, everything when it comes to public trust as Musk alludes to. As such, the owner calling the shots taking strong political stances on social media contradicts his own statements on the best way to engender public trust in the very same company he's buying. You can argue all you want that the public should know better than to assume an owner or CEO's personal opinions aren't reflective of the company they run, but the reality is that they are very much entwined. It's the same reason why parents blow a gasket over what teachers post on their personal social media and why corporations mandate training for employees to be mindful that what they post on social media can be reflective of the company and its brand. Remember when the eagles fined desean for posting anti-sematic stuff on Instagram? That's because the team didn't want his personal opinions to be perceived by the public as being part of their brand.
