    The drinking age in PA was 21 when I was growing up, In MD it was only 18. 

    Ironically I started buying beer in MD when I was 15 (First time I bought beer was in the beareded clam in OC), and in PA when I was 16.  By the time I was of legal age to drink in PA, I had learned how much I could handle.  But it was a much different time back then.
