"Tyranny of the majority"

Using taxpayer dollars to buy votes through "loan forgiveness" is exactly what that is.  Useful Idiot status confirmed.

I would definitely support giving you your money back for your degree.

It doesn't move the needle at all.  Even Biden could deliver a good speech in front of a supportive crowd with prewritten lines on a teleprompter.

There was an entire dead cat bounce when all the TDSers convinced themselves that it was just a bad day/cold/stutter when Biden made some "energetic" appearances following his debate performance.

Even pre-decline Kamala is a better speaker than Biden though.  They're hammering her on something where (short of a disaster) she's going to be a massive upgrade over what voters have seen recently. You set the bar low enough and she'll clear it with ease.

IMO if you want to go after her you hammer her prosecutorial record. You try to force her to define her stance on controversial subjects like Israel and hammer her on that.

They're attacking her like she's Biden, not Hillary. One tactic was way more effective.

If you went 400k into the hole for a degree in art lit then you get what you deserve. Millions have had student loans and paid them back. That's not a blanket statement because sometimes things happen and people need help, but being stupid or lazy isn't one. Work to pay it off like the rest of us.

Maybe that means starting as an intern and working your way up some place or joining the military and learning a trade. Figure your life out and don't make people who worked hard to pay their own debt off pay yours as well.

I agree with this.

Loan forgiveness is treating the symptom, not the problem that’s being projected. If there are predatory loan companies or unfair tuition costs or whatever rationale being used to think student loans for people (like the fake Andrew Tate wannabe we have with @HazletonEagle) need to be paid off by government handouts… IF  there are, then address the problem. Paying off the debts is just encouraging everything to stay the same.

Ask for her specifics when Donny answers everything with "only I can do it"?  Making it about actual plans doesn't go Donny's way either. They're just going to blame all of the world's problems on the other and wax poetic about the golden age of 2017-2020 when none of these problems supposedly existed.

Sure. As someone who paid off his student loans himself, I will say this: The generation that enjoyed affordable higher education turned around and ruined it for future generations. That's not even mentioning the housing they snatched up, the pensions they did away with for shareholders, etc.

As much as I make fun of HE, I support him getting some financial relief from student loans.

That is all a fair debate, but it doesn’t address the root issue. Debt relief/forgiveness allows the same problem to continue.

If universities are price gouging, cut their funding. If loan companies are using predatory tactics, put them out of business.

Been saying that since 2016 and yet he has amassed what? Like 150million votes and will get another 80+ million this time around.

He wont sniff 80M but yeah it is sad how deranged so many of his voters have become.

Not sure if you were around back in 2020 but BLM the org is different from BLM the movement. The leaders of the org are full-on commies and apparently co-opted the movement in early days for notoriety.

So even the hard core commies are calling out how the Dems handled this?  Yikes.

BLM is not part of the Dem party and never was, so their opinion has nothing to do with Kamala's candidacy. As an organization whose endorsement actually produces voter turnout, I'd consider the Grateful Dead fan club more effective. Burn down a random street in any major city?  yeah they can do that. But as a political machine they are a joke.

It's hilarious because you can just imagine how this all played out.  Thiel and Vance and the crypto crony bros explaining to him about AI and energy needs and Trump answering with Yabba daba doo and I told you windmills and them all nodding and telling him how smart he is just so long as he agrees.

Fixed it for you.  Slacktivism at its finest--youre super charitable with other people's money, assuming it helps your party gain votes.

But needs to be said.  And BLm aren't commies, they are anarchists. Get your retarded 20th century shite slinging insults correctly at least.

Oh I completely agree that it doesn't solve the problem and I support all those actions as well.

Don't worry, I'm paying my fair share of taxes.

JD Vance first VP pick since 1980 to have net-negative rating after announcement

If this negative press continues, I'm a bit nervous that he drops Vance and switches to someone like Stefanik.

Many have described BLM as Marxist and that includes a BLM founder. There are surely elements of both in the movement.

It's hilarious, Trump was prevented from taking a candidate that would have successfully rounded the ticket and put this election away because his hard core base hates DEI and sees any woman or person of color chosen as DEI. Stefanik or better yet Scott would have put this baby away, instead overconfidence allows Miller and the alpha male knuckledraggers to pick his man.

I don’t know all the details on who got relief and who didn’t, but I do remember some information about the majority of the forgiven loans were to people working in public funded jobs. I would support that as a recruiting tool for public service.

Only people who I have seen call them communists are republicans who call everything they don't like communists.  No doubt a handful of them see themselves as Marxist but I've never seen any evidence they are an organization dedicated to that.
