If Trump loses this election, he is likely going to end his life either in jail or under house arrest of some kind. The stakes for him are basically his freedom. Couple that with the fact that he is an immoral, unhinged lunatic and imbecile, and nothing is off the table as November approaches. Fake electors, storming polling centers, getting GOP legislators to overturn the vote...it's all on the table. I still (for some reason) have some hope the justice system will have a small part to play before November. Judge Chutkin has the January 6 case back, and she might be motivated to be the anti-Cannon and hold quite a few evidentiary hearings to bring Trump's shenanigans back into the stream of public consciousness before people vote. Judge Merchan could also sentence Trump to house arrest for his tomfoolery in the New York trial and conviction -- jail would be more appropriate, but we all know that isn't happening. If Trump loses, I think he's got an offer in on some real estate in Hungary. You might actually see him leave the country before January.

Must’ve been the guy who fetches the doughnuts and coffee who made up that name.

The race will be called before midnight. I got one word for you buddy, Democrats. 90 days is a looong time to F it up and Trump is nothing if not relentless. Trump will never ever stop trying to new insults and angles until something sticks.

They ruled states can't make the determination on Section 3 of the Amendment. They further ruled that Section 5 gave the exclusive right to Congress to rule on eligibility, which 4 justices (liberals plus ACB) disagreed with. I think the dissenters were right -- individual states shouldn't rule on eligibility, but the courts should be able to. The majority said Congress can declare him ineligible.

Eric is found hiding in a flatbrush next to the 14th hole, serves a life sentence where he becomes a shockingly good painter of cats. Trump escapes through a secret tunnel under the golden toilet on a Space X rocket that explodes mid air. Ivanka changes her last name and flees to Cypress where she lives on a Russian mega yacht. Melania inherits Mar a Lago which mysteriously undergoes an eternal white winter for a 10 mile radius. Baron Trump is elected President of the United States in 2040.

August 7, 20241 yr However, if Democrats win the House and Senate this November, the new Congress will be sworn in before the Presidential election is certified. They could try and pass a law declaring Trump ineligible under the 14th amendment and Biden could sign it. If Trump was the winner, the electoral votes for him would be counted, but since he would be ineligible, JD Vance would be President.

The current Mayor, who is now subject to a recall, based her whole campaign on how she is a Hmong single mom who lived in her car for years. None of that is a good thing, FFS, but people ate it up. We are such a stupid country. Eh, theres a difference between mid-west middle class that lives off of a pension and west coast anything, let alone complete financial illiteracy. Also, being poor in and of itself isn't a negative, either. To look at the inverse, Elon Musk is a moron. 46 minutes ago, Gannan said: I think he flees to Russia. Counter point: one of the only saving graces of Trump's first term is that he is so incompetent and stupid, he wasn't able to accomplish many of the authoritarian things he wanted. Someone competent with Trump's complete lack of morals and desire for authoritarianism could be worse.

He's a little weirdo but it's within the parameters of the political world. Trump's a street-person-screaming-at-a-wall lunatic. Vance even called Walz to congratulate him on the VP nod. That in and of itself tells me he's 1 million times more mature and normal than Trump. And honestly that specific act of recognizing your opponent as someone worthy of (at minimum, behind closed doors) respect is what separates Trump from politicians who aren't such a serious threat to our country.
