The Harris campaign is free to ask for changes to the debate rules, but if Trump doesn't agree, she needs to show up and debate under the rules that were agreed to previously. You can't call Trump out for trying to back out and then threaten to back out if the rules aren't changed.

Again, free to ask and see if Trump's camp agrees. And making the mute thing public is smart because it might bait Trump into agreeing over the objection of his advisors. But if he doesn't, she needs to honor the agreement.

That's the play.  They're getting a bit greedy but considering how insecure Trump is, it might pay off.

It would be much wiser for her to let him cut her off. She wont have to say anything and sound stupid. He wont let her. And he will look bad for not being able to control himself. And then the media will put the misogynist twist on it for not letting the woman speak.

I am not sure that calling Trump a misogynist is a media twist. You seeing it that way says a lot more about you than the media.

Why?  Just because he's a rapist?  You think that makes him a misogynist?  That sounds like the mainstream media talking.

You have to admit that a rambling malignant narcissist pathological liar r@cist, misogynist, ableist is entertaining, right? Like Sam Kinison except with a 5th grade vocabulary and without self deprecation. That is @HazletonEagle good watching on the b@@b tube.

I can tell feelings were hurt today when I rained on the parade by telling you guys trump would not actually be backing out of the debate. I knew it would happen. So many unhinged betas in here.

The temptation is to go with 9 and turn on Beetlejuice, but on the other side you've got MTG, who's basically human whiskey deek.  I might go 7.

7 for sure and then spend the flight pummeling Mitch for allowing Trump to ruin their party

Fox is helping cheat again.

That worked out so well for them last time.

baiting the hook

exactly that

Must be photo op time, Trump is caring about veterans today.

How sweet.

I would like to add, that Trump released 5000 terrorists in Afghanistan, one of which is currently the leader of the Taliban.

Well, any guy should know that women do what they want to do and are allowed to change the rules as they go along.

I agree, and that was well said. If that is true, though, I wonder why she needs notes. A president should be able to handle things without a cheat sheet.

She's just an objectively stupid person, and she's also drunk.

Smiling and giving a thumbs up at the grave site of fallen soldiers. Very normal and not at all weird.

a guy on the internet constantly puffing out his saggy teets and proclaiming that others are betas is awesome stuff. i really hope we continue to be dazzled.

Cause Joe never used notes during press conferences. I'm not saying they should never have notes, but during a debate? Not a fan of that. The point is to learn more about how they think, not only hearing talking points.

I don't think they should be able to take in prepared notes, but I do think a notepad where they can take notes while the other person is talking makes sense.

That’s pretty standard practice I think.  I just rewatched the trump Biden 2020 debate and Trump 100% had prepared notes.  You can see him fold it up and put it in his suit jacket afterwards.  It happens in every debate.  Nobody goes in unprepared.

100% agree.
