The fact that it's the focus of national news outlets shows how partisan things have gotten. And the fact that a flare-up of crime in a Denver suburb is national news is actually an indication that overall the crime situation is pretty good. Crime flare-ups happen. A flare-up happening in a Democratic state is eyeballs and clicks to Fox News. The city councilman has a history of wanting to get herself in the news FWIW. The city claims the owners of the apartment complex have neglected them, leading to this situation. The property owners claim otherwise. It's a bad situation. But stuff like this is going to happen regardless. And the city is responding.

The reason I'm posting it is because of the audio from 911 calls. IF that did happen isn't not ideal, but could just be copycat crime that will burnout. People in Chicago will take care of that themselves I'd imagine.
