Yeah, we had Strohs and Piels as well in college.  Another one (that sucked) was Goebel.  Also, we were pretty close to a military base with a PX that sold kegs of Old Milwaukee for about $20.  Nice price but man did that beer suck from a keg and it was pretty much was all we got at all the parties since it was so cheap.

18yr was legal to drink beer/wine in Virginia back then so that was nice.

My grandfather had that on tap in his garage.  I haven’t had Genny for the longest time and when I came back up for a bit I grabbed a case for nostalgias sake.

My go to cheap mowing the lawn beer these days is Gansett. Publix carries it in Florida. Haven’t seen it in PA though, but usually when I’m back home I try to enjoy the craft scene. There’s a lot of good breweries from the southern tier of NY that are being sold in PA, too. 

I went to college in NY and now like in RI. So I took did the Genny to Gansett transition for my **** outdoor beers ha.
