That's better.  And I agree.  It does make sense to catch the lying and call it out.  I just had not seen it happen before and not to that extent during a debate.  It stood out.  And it was one sided. Regardless of how absurd his lies were in Contrast to hers.  The fact checking was one sided.  I don't think anyone can deny that.

"That's better"   F you.  No one cares if their answer is to your liking.

You'll have to point out all these egregious lies Kamala told that they missed.  And don't pull out things you think are lies because you only consume right wing propaganda.  Trump absolutely did say there were "good people on both sides" about Charlottesville.

I have no idea what she might have lied about.  Maybe she didn't didn't at all? Idk. Your second part is the issue though.  Had to be fact checked for the audience.  Immediately.  There was a obvious bias with that.  Even to a casual viewer.

"Expecting him to be truthful and pointing out when he isnt shows obvious bias!'

Fat boy got wrecked hahahaha

She updated her site

Guns

Quote

As President, she won’t stop fighting so that Americans have the freedom to live safe from gun violence in our schools, communities, and places of worship. She’ll ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, require universal background checks, and support red flag laws that keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people. She will also continue to invest in funding law enforcement, including the hiring and training of officers and people to support them, and will build upon proven gun violence prevention programs that have helped reduce violent crime throughout the country.

So she does plan on doing a ban

So. By your own admission.  Harris should never be fact checked? Lmao wow

I am asking where in the debate did she lie and should be fact checked. Lmao wow

Kambla lied early and often, but she lied about things the news media has drilled into the minds of liberals so hard that they're not mentally strong enough to determine it's fiction. This is a pretty solid list:

And yeah, at this point, I don't think ABC is even worried about the appearance of bias. It's all hands on deck to try to pull this ****ling hag over the finish line. Full soviet level propaganda.

Which is fine.  BUT.... Is it the job of the moderator to do that, during the debate? Why is that answer so hard for any of you to answer???? Jesus

Yes, it's their job as outlined in the debate rules (live fact checking)

****ling?

It wasn't a bias. A lot of what he said was grossly incorrect like him winning the election

It’s stood out and was one sided because the amount of bat ish nonsense spewing from Trump’s mouth was non stop.

Lies are lies brah... If they are going to fact check in real time during a debate that's fine, but they need to do it to both sides.....

Lies are lies? They're not stopping to fact check ALL his lies...of which there are plenty. That isn't what happened. They fact checked the most absurd, ridiculous things like immigrants stealing and eating pets.  I don't need moderators stopping and pausing the debate anytime a politician, Trump or otherwise, overstates themself with some political bluster.

But yeah, if you're namedropping the hottest right wing internet memes on the debate stage, it'd be irresponsible not to.  Sounds like you're trying to draw an equivalence between, again, dog-eating immigrants or calling out some overstated economic numbers, or the general crap we see in every debate.

Let me know when you find a Harris lie as notable as immigrants in Ohio eating cats. Why are you upset about the facts and the truth?

That’s not as big as a nothing burger as most people want you to think. There are police call recordings, reports, and city council testimony of Haitians in Springfield stealing and eating animals and driving recklessly almost running over school kids. Are they breaking into Mary Sue’s house and fileting her cat? Not that I’ve heard of. But there is substance to the claim that they have a migrant issue in that town.

The answer is a little more complicated. Prior to 2024, debate schedules and rules were handled by the bi-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates. They worked with the campaigns to come up with the number of debates, locations, and rules. Historically moderators have been passive but they have fact-checked before (Candy Crowley on Romney in 2012). They also press candidates to answer questions, or they should. Most importantly, in the old debates, mics were not muted so the other candidate could also jump in to fact check.

After 2020, the GOP withdrew from the CPD claiming it was biased (I guess since Trump lost). So now the debate rules are whatever is negotiated with the network for that debate -- it's not uniform. So that's why we had no audience and muted mics. I'm not sure anyone has said what the rules for the moderators were in this debate...but what has happened in the past is irrelevant as these are the first debates not run by the CPD.

What most rational people think. NSFW language, and lots of it.

Costing?

It's been a huge boon for his campaign. Cat memes are taking over facebook and shining the spotlight on Kambla's evil open border policies.

Yes. You can really just look up information about mental illness and political affiliation if you want.

Dude got absolutely obliterated on Ukraine.  It wasn't pretty.

The level of the lie is not what is concerning.  Trump or Harris could have said the sky was brown.  Obviously a lie.  But is it the moderators job to fact check or correct a debate member, during a debate? No. There should be NO interjection, opinion, or fact checking by moderators during ANY debate.  That is not their job and interferes with the debate between two people.  Fact check afterwards. Give your opinion afterwards.

Trump's lies are so huge that no journalist worth their salt can get let him away with them. This isn't like Al Gore claiming he saved social security, or George W. Bush saying his tax cuts benefitted everyone equally. These are gigantic huge lies that are not in any way connected to realty. If it were really true that Minnesota makes it legal to just kill babies after their born if you feel like it with no consequences what so ever....that would be a pretty freaking big news story not to mention one of the most horrific atrocities of all time. In order to have a serious, rational debate there has to be at least some agreement on the nature of reality...what is really real and what only exists in Trump's dementia riddled brain.
