and weren’t dealing with 2 parents who have had 4 cases of cancer and a heart attack between them.

I honestly wish you the best in dealing with your parents. Seeing them suffer with disease can cause as much grief as death does. 🙏

Thanks man.

My mom has had breast cancer multiple times, decided to go with a double mastectomy and just be done with it. Luckily they caught it early all times, so she’s in pretty good shape.

Father had throat cancer, and is in much worse shape (can’t swallow any more so uses a feeding tube, also had a heart attack from the stress). He actually got "lucky” they even caught it. It was stage 4 and had spread. Much longer and his lymph nodes likely would have burst which would have most likely been a death sentence.

Cancer is absolutely horrible. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

The November to January period would be the most dangerous in that scenario.

This is what I think as well. Trump and his top campaign advisors know the election is lost. The play is to lay the groundwork for the "It was rigged narrative" to try to steal it through fake electors and "finding x amount of votes" after it's over.

On the bright side, unlike 2020's November into Jan '21, there are adults in the room and they don't have to worry about losing votes by calling out domestic terrorists.

Certain he is going to be breaking a few laws along the way to losing.  I'm hoping law enforcement and possibly even the military will be able to stop him and throw his arse in jail.

That's awful. Sorry to hear. Best wishes for your family.

The gop still controls the house. Not sure what kind of shenanigans they can or will pull.

New Congress is sworn in Jan 3.  Election certified Jan 6

The issues will be at the local level. While most of MAGA is comprised of complete idiots, Steve Bannon is very intelligent and has lead the effort to replace election officials at the local levels. You're going to have county level people refusing to certify and submit election results, making it impossible for states to certify. Chaos ensues.

We’ve got Cherie Currie. The left hates this.

This should move the needle.  Expect the dam to break any minute.

Sorry about your parents' health issues -- that sucks. We lost my FIL to cancer almost exactly one year ago. Brutal.

Yeah, maybe I'm thinking about it too much if I were single. Friends who worked on the Hill out of college all lived in NOVA.

They all live in Arlington and why it's always ranked as fittest city.

When it's Trump, it's: "Enriching themself? That's what they all do.'

When it's anyone else from a Democrat to a "RINO" anti-Trump conservative, it's: "What an outrage! Here's a political cartoon from the 1870's mocking them."

Like I said, complete chaos. There's no precedent here.

Trump and his crew are yelling fire in a crowded theater, while also giving arsonists direction to the theater.

And they LIVE for this stuff. The Kz Krazies Troll farm army LIVE for these moments when they can take imaginary batshite from Dear Leader and shape it into reality out of sheer depravity fueled willpower.  They won't rest until some poor local rube caves into a statement/photo anything that muddies the waters enough for Trump to fly this lie on one engine forevermore.  Then they'll just turn their attention to the next community to burn.
