October 12, 20241 yr The NYT polls are so whacky this year. Not sure what is up with them or what they're doing differently.

Its not a huge sample size. However, among that group 5% more republicans than democrats. 7% more Trump voters form 2020 than Biden voters. So if she is ahead among that group, that says something.
October 12, 20241 yr The Arizona poll is freaking weird. They have Trump up 5 and Gallego up 7. Are there really that many people in Arizona who think Lake is too crazy for them so they are voting Gallego, but then have no problem voting for Trump? Is Trump that much more of a saner candidate than Lake? Speaking of Arizona, can I just say how good it is for the entire country to get an openly corrupt piece of crap grandstander like Sinema out of the US senate? Even if the republicans control the senate, not having the attention whoring of Sinema and Mansion will be refreshing.

I have nothing to base this on, but I'd guess there are more extreme Christians in PA, and from what I'm reading many are pissed about Trump not supporting a total ban on abortion and are staying home. So I'm not sure I'd link the two states.
October 12, 20241 yr A thought provoking question for sure. Some believe it’s all the speed. Some have postulated that he’s slowly sheeting himself to death. Others say the dementia’s ravaged the part of his brain that controls his ass-hole. Either way, I just hope his family gets him the help he needs.

MAGA should know that they are really voting for Vance. There is no way Trump finishes his term if he wins.

October 12, 20241 yr A lot of very well connected people have suggested there's a reason for this and it's really bad, like start making arrangements bad. I'll leave it at that out of respect for the former President and his family.

October 12, 20241 yr 1 hour ago, VanHammersly said: When Trump dies a year from now, Vance's plan is a national abortion ban Quote What does that mean, though? I’ve heard you say that, but I don’t understand what that means. I think it’s by pursuing these pro-family policies. I think it’s by making it easier — So it’s not by moderating your position on abortion? No. Rather than trying to say that we’re going to take options away from women, we want to make it easier for young women to choose life. But I think the way that you’re going to do that in 2024 in the United States of America is to let the states determine their own abortion policy. Now, again, part of that is protecting the ability of the states to make these decisions. Kamala Harris wants to re-nationalize the abortion conversation — go in the exact opposite direction. President Trump and I are saying, yes, sometimes these issues are messy. Sometimes, it’s going to be a little unusual for, say, California to have a different abortion policy than Alabama. But democracy is sometimes messy. We want to preserve the right of the states to make these decisions. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/12/magazine/jd-vance-interview.html?unlocked_article_code=1.Rk4.zBQP.R_XEKm7C0-Lh&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare
