Again they were up 9 and literally 2.5 mins later it’s tied at 28. Once you let the snowball start it is going to become an avalanche. He’s not played well but once again the sixers in 2.5 mins were outscored 11-2.

Think about this Sixers are +33 this series in the first quarter as Embiid has basically played every minute of the first quarter this series. Second quarter is when he’s sat for 2.5-5 mins every game. They are a -48 in the second quarter. They haven’t won one second quarter in this series. It’s because every time that’s when they go to the bench at the beginning of the second quarter and immediately the Knicks go on a massive run. They are averaging +9.6 in each 2nd quarter. And when Embiid is out there in the second quarter they are close to even so it’s just the mins he’s off.

But you know how Fing ridiculously bad you have to be for that to continuously keep Fing happening. They are shooting less than 25% with him off the floor and an offensive rating below 60. Like I’ve seen elementary school teams be more functional on offense than that.

May 1, 20241 yr As much as the majority of this series has sucked, I actually don’t mind the Knicks players too much. The only one I can’t stand for whatever reason is Divincenzo. I kind of like/respect the rest of that team for the most part. The fans are dbags though.

What makes it so much more frustrating is it’s everyone when he’s off. Like Maxey has been fantastic for much of this series but he’s shooting 30.7% with Embiid off the court and 55% with him on. It’s like everybody forgot how to play basketball when Joel Embiid isn’t on the floor. Like I’ve watched a ton of basketball and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a team be consistently as bad when their star player leaves the court. It might happen once or twice a series where you are just atrocious. But the Sixers it’s every time.
