March 13, 20242 yr Embiid should have been able to come back on the 8th. That was 8 weeks after surgery. As that date drew near they were reporting the end of this month. Now Ramona is saying they still arent sure when. At this point I dont want him back. This has been too much losing. You cant just flip a switch. He wont be in shape. The team wont know how to incorporate him, with Hield and that will take time to gel. Theyre going to suck in the playoffs, and we will hear the excuse again- we hardly got to play together after the trade deadline. Just tank for the lottery pick. We have no players under contract next year. Its rare to get a Maxey, but lets see what it nets us. We need an athletic wing, or a backup C. Or a PF to replace Harris. Or a true 1 man since Lowry is so old. Or a backup 1 man since Melton isnt a true 1 man and he will be gone. Basically, we need everything.

March 19, 20242 yr Not sure I want him at this point. He is old, injury prone, and not as good as he use to be. I’m sure the contract will be hefty. But if he is the all in move, I understand it. And then a lot of picks to make trades. If it happens, at least Embiid will have a teammate to hang out with when they both get injured.

Of the current players, I’m only interested in signing Hield, Oubre, and Lowry. Oubre and Lowry if the price is right. Oubre is valuable as a 7th man but gets exposed as a starter in long stretches. Lowry is a smart player and can be the back up or play with Maxey at times.
