Concerning that they were 0-4 with Risp. Game 2 they were 5-7. Game 2 is about the only game they hit extremely well with Risp. Even with Stott’s grand slam in game 2 vs. the marlins they were 2-9. And the 10 run outburst vs. atlanta they were their second best mark of the playoffs at 3-10. Game 2 is seemingly the outlier as the other 8 playoff games they are 14-69 (.202).

They haven't played many games outside of CBP in this playoff.  At CBP, you can get away with that a lot more... other ball parks don't work that way.

I think this was the 3rd game on the road.  The other 6 were at home.

I still want to protest the lack of curling on the list.   I nominated that as the lead topic, and it wasn't even seconded.   Just a really disrespectful response to the greatest Olympic sport ever.  :nonono:

You’re free to bring it up again at the next meeting.

We all got together in a secret meeting to discuss other things to talk about in here. So, just wait until we all start talking about cricket, crocheting, and water polo. I hope you stocked up on your stupid gif supply.

It’s going to be SlapFight.

I’m surprised they chose Sanchez over walker.

Indeed.  Going with the young guy, rather than the vet.   Very interesting.   That said... down the stretch, Sanchez was the better pitcher.

I'm boycotting the next meeting in protest.

Talk about the flyers here

Aw, man. But we were all looking forward to your brownies.

I'm glad they are though

I made them as bribery brownies... and it didn't work.

The Flyers are actually playing like a unit. They lack talent, but they are sound.

That was a pretty goal.

That explains the twenty dollar bill I bit into.

Tortorella standard.  That's what he does.  He teaches less talented players how to play the right way and grind.

Thanks for the clarification.

And after all that they're only wearing them for two games :nonono:

That’s not until the quarterly meeting. Check your calendar.

Hopefully the bats settle in tomorrow and play way more intelligently. When Bohm and Stott are trying to pull everything you know they’re off. The whole team was pull happy today. Probably amped up after those 10 runs the other night.

Can you blame the Kerkering move, considering what we saw from Kimbrel?  If Kimbrel comes in to a 1-0 game... same result.

That said, Ben Davis is talking about Kerkering's pitch selection.  He wanted to see a lot more fastballs from Kerkering given the fact that he's been throwing a ton of sliders... AND that they were hanging tonight.   (Basically saying that JT needed to be the vet and help the young pitcher out.)   And when a guy has a blistering fastball like he does... he needs to unleash that thing, same as Alvarado does.   Alvarado's cutter is ridiculous too.  But, having BOTH makes each one more effective.  Once Kerkering learns to trust his fastball, he'll be really dangerous with that slider.  But, that slider by itself isn't there yet.   He's no Larry Anderson.   (But more importantly, the game has changed and hitters have adapted.)

The fact they won 3 of 4 in Arizona earlier this year was a surprise. Cause for the better part of the last 5 years at chase field they have been miserable at that ballpark.

The Jags passed on Hutchinson for Walker, and Walker can't tackle Derek Carr in the open field.

Never understood that move.   Walker as the #1 overall pick always seemed like a huge reach.

That was the most pathetic "fanbase” I’ve ever watched in a playoff game. Phils in 5.

Lol, FG not even close. Funny how the one official right under the ball had to look at the other as if he was confirming the miss.

Baalke’s ego, who has no business having a job in the NFL right now.

I have some friends out there.   They primarily tell me that they are a Suns town.  Makes sense.  The Suns have been there way longer than the rest of the teams.  AND... they are a winter sport, when more people actually go out and do things.  In the summer... no one in the Phoenix area goes anywhere.   It's just too hot.  Baseball in AZ only makes sense in Feb and March.  Then again... they have a HOCKEY team too!   So, logic isn't the long suit out there.   Oh... and they have way more people living there than the water available can actually support.  And Las Vegas... and... and... so many places out there are so ridiculously overpopulated compared to what the area can support.
