There's been a lot of vitriol at him for no reason.  Kid is night and day better than Pache.   He was putting some decent swings together.   His last AB was a shot, but right at the 3B.   A couple feet closer to the line, he's got a double and an RBI.  A couple feet the other direction, still an RBI, but a single.  

 

Gotta trust the kid to figure it out.

Again, "battle to .500” is the peak. Doesn’t mean he’ll get there, just where he might be able to top you out at. If he was better he’d "battle for the division” or "battle for #1 seed”.
