    A professional cannot sniff the strike zone.  

    Ben Davis said it yesterday... he needs to use the fastball more.   The sliders are for chasing.  

     

     

    OK.   That's why we have insurance.   You don't want to use it... but you have it for when you need it.   Need 6 more outs... and more insurance.

    Lorenzen should pitch 8.  If he gives up the lead, just keep him in.

    Like I said, limiting it to 1 run feels like a win.

    that was painful, but coulda been a lot worse.

    Hopefully Alvarado has it tonight. It cant get worse than those last 2 pitchers can it?

    Need to add more because I don't like Kimbrel again in the 9th

    The book is out on him now it seems.    His 'electric' slider doesn't go for strikes when low.   Leave it down and make him come into the zone with the fastball or hanger.  

     

    8 & 9 are going to be tough.  Alvarado and then Kimbrel... you just know it.   Hopefully they can add on and make the 9th less stressful with Kimbrel out there.
