More thoughts on the trade possibilities.

I can understand the want for a CB. But I dont think Howie does that.

Bringing in Pettine, and then a CB who likely supplants Slay rather than Bradberry... I dont think we treat Slay that way.

Team captain. Big love affair getting him to come back in the offseason. I think its a morale thing that you dont mess with.

Dont need a safety, and CB isnt happening.

LB, DE, RB are the moves to look for.

How do we not need a safety? I don’t understand why you are so set on what they have there. It’s a glaring hole with Edmunds starting. Blankenship has missed a bunch of games the last 2 years. Brown is a rookie.

The way the DL is playing, Howell should expect to keep his league leading 4 sacks+ alive next week.

He escaped us a lot in matchup number 1.  Gotta contain him.

Nice point with the Niners down the road.

We finally learned how to beat motion. We play Seattle too who runs a similar system.

Edmonds isnt a starter. Hes a backup playing due to injury. You dont rush out and trade for a starter because someone is week to week. There are other ways to help this team a heck of a lot more.

We arent even that badly hurt by our terrible safety play. We limited the rams with Kupp and Nacua, and the Dolphins to very poor results with very banged up secondaries. Desai is mostly erasing that weakness. And eventually having Brown and Blankenship together is naturally going to strengthen it without giving up valuable assets.

Spend them on some spot that has no hope for improvement otherwise such as the positions I mentioned.

I think they'll trade for Kevin Byard

And the Saints are 3-4, currently slotted for pick 11. Eagles are looking at pick 43 in the draft as of now.

Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but if that Saints 2nd rounder stays high, I could see Howie trading our first for a future first and some later picks, and we end up with another Jalen Carter situation down the line.

Need safety and CB.

We could use a good second starter, even with everyone healthy.

Edmunds has started all year…

Looking at the stats now I'm pretty shocked that we only had 4 sacks. That's after we got the two back-to-back at the end there too.

Evans is on IR. They need a safety

Give the rook some love if you're on Twitter.  My guy deserves it.

Do you have a Bonus prediction?   Maybe a Gainwell TD?

Maybe, but I will say that Jalen will have 3... a couple passing and one rushing.

Brown and Blankenship are fine.

yea, assuming they are picking in 28-32, there's way more value in a future 1st than using it this year IMO. Basing that off of Howie's past late 1st round picks.

Pleasantly surprised, but Hurts really could've cost us again. He's been mediocre at best this year. If we didn't have a good team we would really be sunk.

He needs to clean it up, because he's one of the bigger issues with this team as it stands.

The 3-3 Bucs would make the playoffs if they started today.  The NFC is very weak.

I don't think the NFC is that weak, to be honest.  The Lions beat the best team in the AFC (and NFL) and are clearly the 3rd best team in this conference.  SF is a juggernaut.  Eagles have been hot and cold all year but just dismantled a top 2 team from the AFC.  Really, the only thing the AFC royalty has on the NFC's elite is Cleveland's win over SF.

Of the mid-tier teams...Dallas is pretty good.  But Seattle/Rams/Falcons are definitely underwhelming compared to the Browns/Ravens/Jaguars.

I think the NFCs best are right there with AFC...it's the depth of the playoff field that doesn't quite measure up.

Great win!  Sunday vs. WA gonna be the Mariota game?

Tua gets the ball out quick. Like I see the future anticipation like quick. Surprised tgey git home that many times

We can't run the ball with our backs. Our entire offense runs through Hurts. We're 5th in scoring. He's been clearly above-average this year, but not an MVP level.

Hurts looked fine in the 2nd half on that 12 yard run

Gainwell’s TD was the most Gainwell thing I’ve seen. Guy has to do a figure eight going into the end zone. Can never just get the yardage needed moving forward.

Hey I was going to give a like to that but my take is actually the opposite.  All that guy does is perform.  I don't know how but he gets it done.
