This was a bad miss by the refs.

They missed a few, but we usually only complain and call it scripted when we're on the other end of them. Funny how that works.

Waddle was hurt and while the D played well the secondary needs help.

Hurts made a few good plays but looked like utter crap. Slay bailed them out. He looks indecisive and is making some bad choices that will not fly against better teams. The Dolphin's record is mostly against bad teams. Some good things happened but again it's not a thump your chest win to start going after other members

He completed 74% of his passes for 9 Y/A. He missed a couple throws and reads, but not quite as bad as you're making it out to be.

So the Eagles beat down the #1 Offense in History (Thus Far) on Primetime in Kelly Green Uniforms with a Tough Eagles Defense and 3 LONG Clutch Drives to ice the game.  And it wasn't a Dream. NFC East is back to back weeks.   Let's get to 8-1 and this Bye Week (Same Record as last year).  Take down Washington and Dallas.

There’s a group of religious fanatics that have been on the corners of our streets in downtown Mint Hill, NC every Saturday morning since we’ve lived here (almost 5 years).  They bring their little kids with them and they have pretty aggressive proverbs/sayings on giant signs. I’m very nice to them, but shouldn’t their kids be doing something else on Saturday mornings like playing sports and being a kid?

Probably because you live there and you make 50 shades of grey type horror films

The Eagles defense is averaging 59 snaps a game. That's 4th lowest in the NFL.

This is a combination of our offense playing ball-control, and our defense's ability to get off the field (3rd and 18, not withstanding). Most teams are in the 65 snaps a game range. That seems small, until you multiply that by 17. That's like playing 1 to 2 less games for the defense the entire season.

Also allows us to have Jordan Davis play a higher percentage of the snaps without wearing him out.

Limiting that offense to only 49 plays was huge.

Top two players on defense are two of their worst players in coverage. Having them play the most snaps against the high octane Miami offense isn't great but the Eagles survived.

Does Kentavious Street have any 7th round pick trade potential? Seems like a roster spot they can upgrade on.

Who did Boston Scott piss off? Honestly, he brings some bounce and juice.

Everyone.  He got a goalline carry last week and took it for negative 7 yards.   That can't happen.

That last TD drive took almost 7 min off the clock. A dagger to go up two scores and leave just over 4 min on the clock.

Are you unfamiliar with Diehardfans work?

Yes Jalen's turnovers are up.  But most of them this year have been very flukey. (Deflections, bounces).  Or really good Defense (Defenders diving and sprinting to get the ball)   Some of them have also come because of protection issues.   With that said, the Fumble was definitely his fault, he needed to just take the sack there or fall down.

The int was his fault too.

Sirianni calling a batshit crazy call and going for it inside our own 30 probably won us the game

Yup, and my point last week when we threw the ball on 3rd & 10 vs the Jets that got picked is part of it … if eagles don’t make it last night Sirianni gets crucified.
Gotta take good with the bad I guess.

Eagles get back to the Superbowl.

What trade takes them over the top?

Didn’t you say they should start retooling for ‘24 after last weeks loss to the Jets?

#analysis

I don’t recall seeing Garner out there at all, but I read that he rotated in for Brown at safety. He’s listed at corner here (not sure it means anything), but it was only four snaps.

He's so wrong so often.  How is he still employed?

The box score officially hs the Eagles at zero penalties. That’s what he’s going off of.

I find the number of snaps that Cox is getting to be very interesting.  Does anyone have any theories why he is getting so many more than the others?

This kid is gunning for Brady's crown

Carter is getting limited snaps post-injury, and they are anticipating a rookie wall? Not sure why Milton doesn’t cut into Fletch’s totals a bit given the circumstances.

He’s a leader still.

Sign me up for Ricks over Jobe as the first outside corner off the bench and Scott in the slot over Jobe going outside with Bradberry in the slot.

Josiah Scott unexpected hero of Week 7.

Very happy that Nick thought better of the initial decision to punt on 4th and 1 from the 26.

Against a team with the explosiveness of MIA, and you have nearly a guaranteed play to get 1 yard, you have to play for the win there.

Loved that moment in the game.

Miami Offense - 10 Points (Jalen spotted them 3)

Miami Defense - 7 Points (Jalen Spotted them 7)

Eagles Offense - 31  Points (Despite the mistakes so it could have been a 40 Burger)

So in the end, The Eagles Defensive really held Miami to 7 points and their worst Yards for the season.  This team was averaging over 180 yards on the Ground and 500 through the air.  This was the best Defensive Performance of the Season by far.

Happy to report that although I was up till 1am and had to wake for work at 5am I do not feel tired this morning at work.
