Would love to know what is going on in edmunds head on this play… the ball gets snapped and he casually just walking over to tyreek Hill. then hill runs past him as he’s doing it and he then figures out he’s going to need to catch up to him from behind and by that point too late (love to see the all 22 version cause on this you almost don’t see edmunds unless you are paying attention closely)

I saw this too and immediately put it on Edmunds. The only thing I could think of is if he thought hill was going to run a dig and he was going to sit in that window, but in that scenario you would think Bradberry would play further off. I don't get Bradberry playing that close and not even trying to jam him.

Yeah he has to try to jam him and slow him down otherwise there’s no way bradberry is keeping up with hill in that situation. And that’s not a knock on Bradberry because I believe like 95% of the league wouldn’t be able to keep up with Tyreek Hill if that were the case.

If that’s the case not sure why he’s looking directly at tyreek hill right here and not where is the tight end. The tight end got destroyed on the pass rush and no way he was going to leak out as he was still blocking at the time of the throw

He might have taken a look to see if it was an in-cutting route so he could cheat a bit while maintaining responsibility on the TE. Edmunds was in a no-win position. By the time he could trigger, it was already a TD IMO.

Wonder if the high def makes it appear slightly different

I think it can be a lot of things.   They also used to wear the white jerseys at home quite a bit back then so maybe that has something to do with it as well; with the people saying they "looked different live”

Not to mention lighting can affect the way colors appear.  Look at the difference between the way a "daylight bright lightbulb” illuminates a room vs a "soft white light bulb”.

Regardless, I think they looked great!

Brown was in single-high and probably had deep responsibility. Tua looked him off and it was an easy TD.

Edmunds shouldn't be playing. We know this. Putting him against super fast players is going to end poorly. It'll like be the same vs. Washington given all their CBs are small and fast.

I blame Edmunds, but on the other side of it…not many teams can contain Hill the way we did overall. As Nick said, "I mean damn. He’s fast as hell.”

I don’t think it was his responsibility. Saw a few of the film guys I like back the assertion that he has the TE and and Brown had over the top responsibility.

It was the worst possible call in that situation. Sometimes you gotta tip the cap to the other team. We were probably expecting an in-cutting route and they made us pay.

I have no idea what Edmunds was doing.  Just more evidence that the Eagles need to trade for a competent safety.  Edmunds is horrible

He completed 74% of his passes for 9 Y/A. He missed a couple throws and reads, but not quite as bad as you're making it out to be.

He had some good plays. I don't mind him missing it's the fumbles and poor decisions. I wasn't bashing him.

I'm pretty sure most of the people in here weren't thrilled with how Hurts played last night. Lot of posters were a lot more critical than I've been. I said that's not a thump your chest kind of win and it wasn't. That doesn't mean it was a bad one but someone was talking trash at other members that didn't even involve me.

They looked "sharp: as my grandad would say

Would like to see the all 22 but seems Michael kist believes that was on edmunds

It was a good play call and Tua looked off Brown just enough that he couldn't recover in time. Edmunds was playing the in cutter  because we bought pressure and didn't think they would have time to bomb it deep

That was his initial reaction. I’m curious after having time to digest it like with the other people I saw if he’d still feel the same. I think all of us live blamed Edmunds too.

Yeah -mostly because Edmunds seemed out of position but if he wasn’t supposed to be over the top, then he wasn’t out of position

I am pretty sure the coverage called was to have Edmunds take out the in-breaker.  It was 3rd and 8, so Desai was probably anticipating a crossing route.  I doubt Edmunds just decided to walk down towards the LOS on his own.

One of my biggest takeaways from last night was I want to see more of Hurts the pure QB and less of the zone read/RPO game. I'm not saying take away what makes Hurts different, but take away what is holding this offense back. Watch some of those zone reads. The defense knows they're coming and clamp down on both the RB and Hurts. Watch the INT last night. Hurts made a poor decision to keep with 2 rushers bearing down on him, but his other option was handing it to the RB for a multiple yard loss. The option game is hurting this team right now way more than it's helping.

The other major takeaway is Desai is a significant upgrade over Gannon. When was the last time the Eagles played a good QB that well?

Presnap he takes a step in from 22 to 21. Ball is snapped his head and eyes are following hill the entire time. actually takes 3 walking steps towards hill on the play at/after the snap. Then sits sideways and realizes he’s gonna have to catch hill as bradberry isn’t gonna keep up with him. I would love to know if Bradberry thought he was gonna get help from edmunds. Bradberry is a good teammate he wouldn’t say it out loud if asked.

The current helmet and jerseys aren't the same colour; could be that one is matt and one is not, but they look off.  The 60s one looks a darker green, 90s is a different shade and the 2010 is a lighter shade but would guess on the same colour chart at least.

In some respects, the 90s is field turf colour, the modern are more grass colour.

And how in the hell did the Steelers take Edmunds in the first round?  Sheesh

I have no stat on this but it seems to me the Eagles have rarely thrown the ball to a receiver who was already physically in the endzone.  Less this season than I can ever remember

Yeah he was already dead there. Didn't respect Cheetah's speed. The man is nick named Cheetah for a reason. First priority is stop the Cheetah from running away from the whole team. He should know better. Good to see it didn't happen again for the rest of the game.

Yup, the helmets are a little too bright, but still looked great, Nike can't make the shiny silver pants so the pants are grey but it still looked pretty good.

Brought back a lot of memories from my younger eagles watching days.

I think the offense is holding back some plays for when they face Dallas/SF. They kind of showed a little of it last week against the jets with a 2 back set. There's something clearly going on with Hurts and his running, even before the rams game. Weather he's playing through an undisclosed injury or it is the coaching staff telling him to avoid contact, we may never know.

That first RZ series was just awful. I'm sure everyone guessed they would run a QB draw and when they did, Hurts immediately went down to avoid contact. No clue why they would run that play if they don't want him to take on contact. Maybe there is some read he is looking for and if it isn't there to just go down.
