Was it confirmed that Hurts is injured? I know people are speculating because of his play

I didn't need anyone telling me he was injured - he was noticeably limping while running... and the report was he came out at halftime with a knee brace on his left leg... that was not there at start of game.

do you need a confirmation?

Phillies start at 5PM EDT.   So, that should help a little.  The Rangers winning last night means that they play at 8PM.

Yeah, that helps.

AJ Brown effectively confirmed it in his presser.

he said something like "You don’t even know what Jalen is going through right now, but I’m not gonna get into another man’s business”, implying Jalen may not want it public

He completed 74% of his passes for 9 Y/A. He missed a couple throws and reads, but not quite as bad as you're making it out to be.

PS I need to do a better job wording my posts. He made bad plays but I don't want to make it sound like he was bad when I say it's not a thumping our chest win. That wasn't putting down the win so much as a response to a particular post.

Eagles are a good team and my approach is probably similar to Nick or what Jalen would say. Good win but we have a lot to improve if we want to reach our goal. The DC is absolutely taking a step in the right direction and is possibly the most exciting thing coming out of last night. If Howie can get him another piece or two (being greedy) along with guys getting healthy they can be scary on that side of the ball. On the other side I put a lot more blame on BJ than Hurts.

Not a chance in the world

They're gambling with Lane. Might be better to rest him until he's actually 100% so he's healthy for the playoffs

Good luck telling that to Lane, I don't think he would let them rest him.

Seriously though I don't believe the coaching staff would put him out there if he had a high chance of re-injury. It may just be pain management and if he can push through it, which he showed last year he can.

Sheetz has a way better to go menu. ....

The only thing WAWA's have going for it are the soft pretzels.

he played almost the entire year witha  groin tear....    he will be fine

It's Monday afternoon and Howie hasn't traded for a safety. Do it Howie!

Watch that closely Mike.  If Slay doesn’t intercept it, Cunningham is going to commit DPI.  But as it played out, Slay stepped into the pass just a smidge before Cunningham makes contact, making it a great block by Cunningham on change of possession.  Cunningham doesn’t make contact before but was positioned so the Miami receiver couldn’t get back to the ball.  Maybe look at that great catch by Brown, Mike, and comment on how he played through the DB grabbing on his jersey.  That was at least defensive holding and not called. The Cunningham play was perfect timing.

DPI is not a foul if the ball is deflected.  The ball was clearly 'deflected' by Slay before the contact happened on Mostert.   No foul.   McDaniel needs to be reminded of the rules...

And the officials need to learn how to distinguish Kelce's arm from the OGs arms.

But McDaniels is a genius isn't he?

I honestly thought if Slay didn't pick that ball they might have called DPI on Cunningham.

Playing bad teams can certainly make it look that way.

If Slay didn't pick that ball they absolutely should have called DPI on Cunningham.  BUT, you can't call DPI when the ball never gets to the receiver like that.  It would be the definition of 'uncatchable'.  Besides, the deflection rule comes in... on a deflected pass, DPI is nullified.  Slay clearly deflected the ball.

Also nice of the coach to deflect responsibility for a play design that allowed Slay to essentially cover two guys by running them into the same area.

And I guess the playcall was to underthrow the ball and hope to get bailed out by a penalty? Seems like a bold strategy.

He wore a brace in the 2nd half... and was the last guy to come out after Halftime.     Oh, and he said that the injury did not occur in this past game.   So, yeah, he confirmed it.   Brown confirmed it as well, without confirming it.

You guys are killing me. We have none of that out here.

Some thoughts after a monster win.

1. Sean Desai is such a massive upgrade from Gannon it's amazing. We were without both starting safeties and playing our 4th and 5th nickel CBs against the best offense in football and...held them to 10 points, 3 of which came on a short field. Since the 2nd half of the Rams game, the defense has been out of this world. Yes, Miami was missing offensive lineman and Waddle was banged up, but the D still throttled an offense people were calling the second coming of the 1999 Rams.

2. The really encouraging thing about the D -- they seem so well coached. They didn't fall for all the motion and misdirection. Guys stayed home, and most importantly, tackled well. This might be the best tackling Eagles team in a long time.

3. Point 2 is huge because we will see the same from SF.

4. I know we all focus on Carter, but Jordan Davis is becoming a monster.

5. Reddick is just bananas. Ever since the cast came off, he's playing like the best edge defender in the NFL.

6. Hurts had a great game save 2 plays. The fumble just can't happen. The interception was bad luck for sure, but still he has to just eat that ball.

7. Somehow, despite being -1 in turnover differential, the Eagles are 6-1. Last year all the haters pointed out that we were only winning because of unsustainable turnover luck. I don't think Jalen will keep turning it over like this. If we start getting back in positive turnover territory...

If we want to maximize the chance to win this year, go get a safety. Long term you hope Blankenship and Brown lock it down, but for this year, adding one more impact player back there would be great.

Can't remember the last time I've been to a Wawa.

They're fine, they're really convenient even if the food sucks, but wish we had Bucees here though. That store is on a whole other level.

When I lived in NJ, I stopped at Wawa every morning, and of course had access to them whenever I wanted. When I moved to central PA, Sheetz seemed better initially because it was new to me. Different choices. Now, I’m tired of Sheetz and would like Wawa back.

That said, I also really like Rutters, but that could be because I don’t have them often.

I so want to believe...
