It’s not a bad place to stop on road trips, I just don’t get the hype and cult like following it has. It’s an over branded truck stop and there’s plenty that are just as good or better.

Trucks can’t stop at Bucee’s.

You eat at Bucee’s?  I go there for the restrooms and occasionally gas. Great restrooms.  I did pick up some post oak for brisket smoking there but that is as close as I have come to trying their ice cream scoop BBQ.  My rule on BBQ joints is if there isn’t smoke coming from it and it doesn’t smell smokey inside, keep on going.

To me it’s no different than the other truck stops like Loves, Pilot, etc. My favorite one to stop at is Slovacek’s in West. Like I mentioned earlier Bucs-ees isn’t awful as a rest stop, but I just don’t get the hype and following it has.

Truth be told, I'm still not convinced on Dean. I see him on the field at times but I hardly ever see him making any plays. For all the hype the guy had coming out of college, you'd kinda expect more.

Sometimes the ball just doesn't come your way. For anyone with such a small sample size, I try not to get overly excited or concerned based on prior expectations. Jalen Carter, on the other hand, is an absolute animal. I've seen enough to know that kid has all-pros in his futures.

I was praying he had caught it and then fumbled it out of the end zone...

I thought for sure that's what had happened when I saw the ball eventually squirt out of bounds.

WaWa's soft pretzels are garbage now. They were great before they switched vendors quite a few years ago.

sad it was the one thing I would stop at a wawa for 😞

I just want to point out that Fetterman chose Sheetz cards over WaWa.  Midstaters like my kids were would agree with you.  Baltimoron transplants are stoked though that Royal Farms is bringing its fried chicken north of the border.  Me, I don’t think I have ever eaten gas station food.

The ROFO's are ok for their western fries....  thats about it... nothing else I would attempt to eat.

as I stated ... I knew on this MB it was going to be an upopular opinion.

Here is another unpopular opinion...

Give me a a sub on a homemade italian roll from an italian pizza shop over a Philly roll anyday and twice on the weekends

I wouldn't say unpopular opinion. I'm not a big Wawa guy either. With all the mom and pop pizza shops Etc sandwich shops. I don't ever go to Wawa

There we go!!

His offense, his responsibility. He decides the scheme and game plan for each game and adjustments within the game.

Rick’s been playing in the slot, where his lack of speed but decent lateral quickness is an asset.  Jobe strictly played outside.  He is a little slow but this obsession that he is awful is misplaced.  Would I rather have McPhearson as the #3 OCB?  Yes.  But I would rather have a healthy Maddox at nickel.  That said, the play of Jobe at OCB and Ricks at nickel/third S hasn’t been bad.   The disappointment in the secondary is Ringo so far.

I don’t think Ringo has been a disappointment so far. He was always going to be a red shirt year kind of guy — he’s super raw and only 20 years old as a rookie.

That’s why he was a 4th round pick at 6’2” 210 pounds with a 4.3 forty. If he was ready to play NFL ball he would have been a top 50 pick.

Love’s are probably the second best choice for restrooms.  Another trick my wife likes is Cracker Barrel for restrooms.  Seems like there is one in every town now.  My philosophy when traveling the interstates is pee when you get gas and occasionally at rest stops but the wife can’t last that long so we have developed where good, clean uncrowded women’s restrooms are in between where I stop.  Grocery stores work too and their restrooms are at the front.  With their cards, the gas tends to be the cheapest too.  That works well off the interstates. Walmarts too.  Out west though it can be any gas station that is open.

If that's the case, the offense and by extension Hurts, were firing on all cylinders last season.

What's the difference?

I guess generally as a rest stop kind of place. There seems to be more of that type of place being built and Buc-ees will start having some competition.

Yes, but I don’t think it’s anything worth the hype. I don’t like to stop much on road trips, so if the stars align and we end up stopping there I’m going to eat, but definitely avoid their bbq.

He made one play where he chased down Hill where I thought he showed good speed and tackling.  I would like to see how he did in coverage.  It's possible he was not visible because he did a good job.

Yep and I mentioned a short while later the Dolphins ran that same exact play when Cunningham was in that spot instead.

Dean stopped the play at the sideline for minimal gain.  Cunningham didn't get there fast enough and the Dolphins picked up a big chunk as Hill was able to turn the corner.

It's a if they said we will bring this play back when we get the right LB match-up. In which case, Dean's presence dictated what they were able to do.

Walmart isn't bad. Sometimes you can walk into a hotel just off the interstate and use the ones in their lobby as well. Fomin sells dissolvable soap strips  that come in handy and are great to take on trips/hikes/camping.

Highly recommend Slovaceks just north of Waco if you ever go through there. Don’t take your wife there around Christmas time, or you will need to bring a trailer with you to haul all of your newly acquired holiday decorations.

Anyone think the Vikes and Mr 1-87 Primetime Cousins can pull off the upset tonight?

I would proffer that there isn’t a lot of shoving done in the Brotherly Shove.  What the back players are mainly doing is screening Hurts. Watch how few defensive players get a hand on him.   So the role is primarily screening on most of those calls.  Look how often the back players are OZ or Gainwell.  Watch how they screen the defense from grabbing Hurts from the side or from behind.  The real shove is the OL by getting under the DL and pushing and basically closing all gaps with Hurts basically taking a FB type carry right behind them.

Goedert pushes with all he's got.
