Another need is DE with Graham on his last legs because we’re an injury away from Barnett getting meaningful snaps. Frank Clark is still a free agent - he may want more than he’s worth though.

Bigger picture...

Hargrave, White, Edwards, etc. all needed to go with Hurts' extension in the works.

Only exception was the money they set aside for CJGJ, that went towards Bradberry.

White has actually been one of the more impressive of the group.  He was competent here and made some plays but seems to be playmaker in his second year with Gannon

I don’t see anymore moves unless an injury happens this weekend. Chinn as a LB/S hybrid would be interesting at a super discounted 2025 price but I doubt it very much.

I liked White when they signed him. He was up and down here but is doing well. Think he got paid decent money. More than we’d have paid

Yeah for sure.  Just saying he might have been a nice piece to keep if we could have.

I thought he signed with the Chiefs.

Where are we going to fit all these needs into the 53-man roster?

We have Jurgens, Evans, Watkins all eventually returning from IR.

 Still unsigned

And Julio isn’t on 53. I think 4th TE is a goner.  Maybe they trade Barnett or cut Patrick Johnson. Street seems like he’s not needed. Not sure Evans will ever be back

Player for player trades (Marlon T, Street, Barnett as candidates). There are also guys like Penny, Albert O (or Calcaterra), Patrick Johnson that are absolutely useless at this point.

Why did they sign Penny to not even dress him?

Let him get more healthy and redevelop his burst, maybe, while we keep him in reserve against Swift suffering any injury?  Suspect that also explains Gainwell’s snaps, especially those keyed on the RB.  Which in turn explains Scott’s lack of carries. If Swift and Gainwell remain productive and healthy, then we will never know.  Otherwise, Eagles preserve depth. That said, I am not totally convinced Penny still has that burst capability.

I thought it looked funny when I posted it but, ignored it anyways lol. You are always on point with the videos lol

Did anyone else notice the similarity in the last couple minutes of the game to Super Bowl 52? Up five. Other team out of timeouts. Attempt a field goal to go up eight but run the risk of giving up pretty good field position if it's missed.

Fortunately Jake made his, thus making the final drive a lot less stressful. Yes it was stressful enough as it was but imagine what it would have been like if the Pats had about thirty extra yards to start with and a touchdown wins the game instead of putting them within two.

Road game against an AFC opponent.  If it matters, it would matter the least.

If that's the argument, then the KC game is the one that matters the least since that's not a common opponent for the other teams in our division.

That is correct, but letting Hargrave go was the right move, even if it was a calculated risk.

Agreed. But I do think we would have had to add a DT, and the chance of that rookie even being able to contribute — much less at a high level — is less than a coin flip.

Bottom line, it’s better to be lucky than good in these situations.

They couldn’t guarantee it, but the Carter street racing story broke two weeks before Hargrave signed with SF. They were never going to give Hargrave that deal he got, but I think the whole timing of that put it into their minds that Carter was a possibility if teams ended up passing on him. Can’t guarantee output either, but Carter was the consensus best player in the draft by a lot of experts.

Agreed. It was definitely a calculated risk. We had two fortunate unknowns fall in our favor — other teams being scared of drafting Carter (including other teams trading up) and Carter actually producing at a rate not seen since Aaron Donald.

Remember when The Simpsons was fresh and creative? There was an episode in that heyday where Homer was trying to cut corners on family expenses. He commented to Marge about how silly it was to be buying vaccinations for Maggie for diseases she doesn't even have. I forget the exact wording but that was the gist.

THAT is what Penny is here for. He's our vaccination in case of injury. It's okay to have one.

They have candidates. Ben O.; Calcaterra; Street; P Johnson; Penny; Elliss; J Scott.

Plus you have to think that someone else might have to go on IR too.

Yeah, they are screwed. The manager blew the series on Friday. He is doing it again not switching up the lineup when they have a blueprint to beat them. He didn't learn last year against Houston and I'm shocked Dom isn't in his face demanding he do something to counter and protect Harper. When they lose I hope they fire his ass because he doesn't have a feel for pitching in close series and he refuses to make lineup changes.

They beat the Marlins and Braves on talent and it is easy to manage when things are going well and the bats are that hot. When they cool off or some arms are struggling he isn't good.

He cost them game 2 in ATL

He cost them Friday

He is going to cost them tomorrow being stubborn

Dude needs to change that pic my goodness

Something I was wondering and that has probably been discussed, are the eagles going to get penalized for not disclosing hurts on the injury report? They've openly said whatever it is didn't happen in this game, but I don't recall seeing him on the injury report
