Yeah, they are screwed. The manager blew the series on Friday. He is doing it again not switching up the lineup when they have a blueprint to beat them. He didn't learn last year against Houston and I'm shocked Dom isn't in his face demanding he do something to counter and protect Harper. When they lose I hope they fire his ass because he doesn't have a feel for pitching in close series and he refuses to make lineup changes.

They beat the Marlins and Braves on talent and it is easy to manage when things are going well and the bats are that hot. When they cool off or some arms are struggling he isn't good.

He cost them game 2 in ATL

He cost them Friday

He is going to cost them tomorrow being stubborn

They'll get no-hit tomorrow to add insult to injury

I don’t recall seeing one person do such a thing

There was a fair share pf people that didn't want Carter heading into the draft.  Most because of the off field incident and at least one person kept saying he wasn't even all that good actually amd was no different than that white outside pass rusher from Iowa pr something who was all athletic potential but raw and didn't have the production in college.

Oh no bro we have a lot of fun doing it! Especially when the rest of the league cries about it.

The push at 8:10 left in the 4th was like a Fing bulldozer. I reckon they got about 5 yards easily

At some crucial point in the future  if we get a 1st and Goal at say the 5 - I could see Nick just repeatedly shoving from there (and it would work, assuming the refs didn’t enforce a soft ban with mystery flags).

Such a shame about the Phillies otherwise a perfect day yesterday....we get Safety help coming off a Sunday night win against the Dolphins, The 49'ers lost and the Rangers won (wanted no part of Houston).  God willing, the Phillies pull it off tonight.  Maybe it's a sign, I have to fly to Dallas today for work and watch the game from there.

Should be 2 games up on the 1 seed right now.  Oh well.  Everyone lays an egg from time to time.

Interesting landscape to the nfl this year.  We knew going in the Chiefs and Eagles were the class of the league…but the eye test this year shows that gap isn’t as large as expected.  But both teams just know how to win.  That’s why both teams figure to be in it at the end.

But there are no super powers; anything can happen any week.  I thought SF would look like a superpower for the vast majority of the season with how bad their schedule is, but even they couldn’t last.

As the chaos increases, that actually makes me look for solid ground with teams (or at least coaches) that have proven to win in January.  So I think teams like SF, Jacksonville may be the best bets outside of KC/Philly to win playoff games.

They should save it for a critical point, because that sequence is what will get it banned in the off-season.

They are going to ban it anyway - not sure how they are going to write the rule though. At this point I think the two players behind Hurts can face outward to run interference on the flanks and we can get similar results.

Seems like you always drop one you shouldn’t, and hopefully pickup one as well.

SF finally lost a conference game. Detroit has 2 loses, one of which is also an NFC loss (Seattle). The Lions schedule is very easy, but they're also the Lions and have Jared Goff. That's not a shot at them, but they could easily lose to the Chargers, Saints, Cowboys, Vikings with Jefferson, etc. Still think the Lions get 11 wins.

I'm still skeptical of this Eagles team being the #1 seed, especially with our schedule and Jalen's knee injury, but if we can enter the bye at 8-1, a 4-4 2nd half puts us at 12-5 and actually within striking distance of the #1 seed given how the conference looks.

The Miami game wasn't that important for tie-breakers, but Washington and Dallas are.

Yeah I’m at the same point. Being a game up on everyone is huge right now and there’s reason to be optimistic but I don’t think we will end up with the #1 seed. We have a really tough schedule and others don’t necessarily. But hey we just need to continue to stack the Ws.

I wanted the Eagles to go into the bye at 8-1 too.....then split the murders row of Buffalo, KC, San Fran and Dallas (winning SF) and then honestly, looking at the last 4 games they could easily go 3-1, 4-0 but even at 3-1, that would put them at 13-4 and definitely within reach of the Number 1 seed.

I'm shocked Barnett is out snapping Smith still

He has a whopping 1 tackle too. What do they think he is giving this team right now? I'd rather see Tarron Jackson platoon with Nolan Smith.

They just traded a 5tth and 6th round pick in this years draft. I can see them using Barnett, Street and possibly Penny as late round pick trade bait to recoup what they used for Byard.

The talent was undeniable (although UGA stats are not the best for box score scouts), and the selection deserves flowers - there’s still the question of how he’ll handle his success. He’s in a great situation imo.

Really good breakdown of Byard. We got ourselves a stud.

What makes this trade even better is that the realized Edmunds had no business on this team too. Just cutting him would have been addition by subtraction. Getting rid of him while adding Byard is fantastic and shows me that the Eagles aren't being stubborn. Now, stop using Gainwell so much and I'll really be a believer.

I have my weed ready for when they announce the line up card and Bohm and Stott are still hitting 4 and 5.

Gainwell is used as a short yardage back and it’s infuriating with a much bigger Penny in street clothes

I was just looking at his stats. His usage his first two years is what we should expect from him.

2021- 68 carries, 291 yards 5 TDs average 4.3 YPC.  33 catches 253 yards 1 TD 7.7 average YPR

2022- 53 carries, 240 yards 4 TDs average 4.5 YPC.  23 catches 169 yards average 7.3 YPR

2023 he's on pace to triple his carries at 147 and 27 catches. His averages are way down though. 3.2 YPC and 4.4 YPR. Now, I don't think the Eagles are giving their RB great chances at RAC either. Swift has to immediately make one man miss once he catches the ball and he's only getting 4.8 YPR

I get it, they trust him in pass protection (even though he had a huge whiff that got Jalen smacked). His TD run was good. His 3rd down catch against the Rams was nice. That's 2 plays over 7 games that stand out.

What I don't understand is their insistence on using Gainwell and reluctance to use Boston Scott.

Boston Scott has averaged 70 carries per season as an Eagle, his most being 87. His average YPC is 4.3 and was as high as 4.7 during an 80 carry season. He averages 7.7 YPR

Boston Scott is on pace for 20 carries for 2023.

There's absolutely nothing that shows me Gainwell should have his workload tripled and Scott should be getting nearly 1/4 of what he had been getting.

Maybe they are saving the RBs for a rainy day? McCaffrey played damn near every snap last night. He's going to be toast come the end of season.

CMC being injured by year's end seems to be one of the most obvious bets you can make.

Yeah I don’t see them changing the batting order for game 7, at home.  Would seem like they were panicking, more pressure on the players, etc.

That said, if they advance, I could see them making a few changes for the start of the WS.

Glad to see the Niners lose.  Turdy is regressing to the mean the more tape teams get on him.  Funny

I have a feeling Scott sliding 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage, not to get hit against the Jets,  might have put him in the doghouse.
